    Exeter City booked their place in the second round of the FA Cup with victory over Southern League Division One South & West side Didcot Town.

    The League Two club lost to Northern Premier Division One side Warrington Town at this stage last season.

    There was to be no repeat as Clinton Morrison chipped them ahead before Tom Nichols and Alex Nicholls tapped in. You can watch the goals here.

    The underwear of dozens of celebrities has raised thousands of pounds for a breast cancer charity.

    Singer Ed Sheeran, model Kelly Brook and England goalkeeper Joe Hart were among those who donated their smalls for the auction at the weekend.

    Heather Walters from Barnstaple arranged the fundraising effort for the charity Coppafeel, external after being diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2014 - the auction raised £5,000.

  3. Pair escape overturned carpublished at 08:26

    Two people have been given first aid by fire fighters, external after climbing out of an overturned vehicle near Truro. 

    The accident happened in the Idless area near Shortlanesend at around 05:30 this morning. 

    Fire fighters from Truro were called to the scene and made the vehicle safe. Only one vehicle was involved. 

  4. League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle out of the FA Cuppublished at 08:17

    Plymouth Argyle are out of the FA Cup, suffering their first home loss to Carlisle since 1978.

    Antony Sweeney acrobatically gave Carlisle the lead as he volleyed past Luke McCormick - Hallam Hope then scored his first-ever Carlisle goal as he reacted quickest after McCormick had saved well from Derek Asamoah's shot.

    The defeat was only the second Plymouth have suffered in their last 12 matches. You can watch the goals here.

    - One lane is closed on the A38 westbound in Dobwalls between Twelvewoods Roundabout and the B3360 junction, because of an accident.

    - Queen Street in Exeter is blocked and slow traffic at the B3183 New North Road junction, because of an accident on the roundabout.

    - Watch out for a traffic light failure on B3250 Mutley Plain in Plymouth at the B3214 Alexandra Road junction. Approach with care.

    - There's slow traffic on the A39 Newquay Road in both directions between the Bodmin Road junction in Truro and Carland Cross in the roadworks area.

    - Only two Torpoint ferries are running this morning due to technical problems, expect waiting times of up to 15 minutes.

  6. Devon and Cornwall tax hike plea to 'save police officers'published at 08:04

    People across Devon and Cornwall will be asked if they're prepared to pay a 15% increase in the police's share of council tax to protect officer numbers.

    The move would add around 50p a week or £25 a year to the bill of the average band D property.  

    Devon & Cornwall police are expecting a budget cut of £54m a year, with the loss of up to 760 police officers and all 360 community support officers. The consultation will run until Christmas.
