Cornish Pirates boss Ian Davies was delighted with his improving side after seeing them beat Nottingham 19-7 in the British and Irish Cup.
Craig Holland scored a try and Laurence May kicked 14 points for Pirates, who have won both cup games so far.
"We've never lost our confidence, that's the issue," Davies said. "Lots of people have been panicking and doing petitions to get Ian Davies out, but it doesn't matter, we're confident in the group that we've got."
