  2. Man charged after Paignton bank robberypublished at 14:40

    A man has been charged by police after a robbery at a bank, external in south Devon.

    About £200 was taken in a raid at Natwest in Victoria street, Paignton, on Saturday. The money was later recovered.

    Devon and Cornwall Police said 30-year-old John McKay remained in police custody and was to appear before magistrates at a later date.

    Work to dual the A30 at Temple in Cornwall will be finished on time and on budget despite the wettest winter on record, Cornwall Council insists.

    It also promised that there would be an extra lane in operation through the current roadworks - meaning two eastbound and one westbound - in time for the school summer holidays, but that it would not be in operation until 22 July.

    Farmers on Exmoor are considering how their livelihoods might change as a result of the European referendum.

    Some receive more than half their income in grants from Brussels and say they would be concerned if Britain left the European Union.

    Farming minister and Cornwall MP George Eustice, who's backing the campaign to leave, said subsidies would be protected in a Britain outside the EU.

    A quay wall has partially collapsed after "several very high tides and poor weather", a harbourmaster has said.

    Hayle Harbour Authority, external has fenced off the area and boats have been removed from the quay wall. Harbourmaster Peter Haddock said he was unsure when the wall would be repaired.

    Police have advised, external people to stay away from the hole at Carnsew Quay, Hayle, which is estimated to be 4m (13ft) by 2m (7ft).

    New figures released by police forces today show a 1200% increase in reports of under 16s 'sexting' over the last two years.  

    Despite this, guidance for schools on Sex and Relationships education has not been updated since 2000, before the 'smartphone generation' were even born.

    And it's currently not compulsory for schools to give sex education in schools. Should it be? Ministers have recently rejected a call from health charities and MPs to make it a legal obligation.     A mental health nurse has been found guilty of two serious misconduct charges over the death of a 40-year-old woman from complications relating to malnutrition.

    Psychiatric patient Ruth Mitchell (pictured) died at home in Plymouth in 2012 while under the care of Plymouth Community Healthcare, now Livewell Southwest.

    At a Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing, nurse Joanne Campbell was found guilty of two charges relating to record keeping and escalating safeguarding concerns, but there would be no sanctions against her. Ruth's father, Russell Mitchell, said he planned to appeal.

    "We opened with a number of very popular riders and we were sure we would get a good crowd, but we didn't and we lost a lot of money," co-promoter David Short told BBC Sport. 

    "The directors of the company concluded that there was no prospect of Plymouth becoming viable, therefore we felt that we should close it down before we incurred more debts."

    The woman representing Cornwall in Brussels says she has been left "scared" by terrorist attacks in the city.

    Katie Cavell, who has lived and worked in the city for 10 years and is the Cornwall Brussels Officer - representing the council, Local Enterprise Partnership and universities - had to come off the Metro and a bus as public transport was shut down by the authorities after explosions.

    She said: "For the first time since all of this stuff started happening in Paris and Brussels, I now feel scared ... it's too close to home and very real."

    Exeter City's on-loan striker Jayden Stockley says he has been inspired by how parent club AFC Bournemouth have adapted to the Premier League.

    Stockley has scored seven goals in 13 games for Exeter - the eighth club he has joined on a temporary basis, and is close to the likes of Simon Francis, Steve Cook and Harry Arter, who are all playing in the top flight.

    "The fact they made it late drives me on even more to never give up," the 22-year-old told BBC Sport.

    A girl at the centre of an international police hunt after she was taken to Bangkok without permission has been found in Thailand, police say, external.

    Twelve-year-old Arisara Miles, known as Zara, flew with her father, Trevor, from Exeter, to Thailand on 10 November. A judge ordered her return to the UK.
