    Devon's Jo Pavey will become the first British track athlete to compete in a fifth Olympic Games after being selected to represent Team GB in Rio.

    Speaking with BBC Radio 5 live's Phil Williams, she reflects on her "race against time" to qualify for Rio, and how it will feel to become the oldest woman to run for Britain at the Games.

    "I never believed I would still be competing at this age. My team-mates have started calling me 'Granny'," Pavey says. "It seems quite surreal. But I enjoy the old banter - it's a bit of fun really, being in races with people half my age."

  4. Investigations continue into pothole caused by collapsed drainpublished at 09:10 British Summer Time 15 July 2016

    Investigations are continuing into how to fix a pothole caused by a collapsed drain that led to the closure of a North Devon road for more than six months.

    A stretch of the B3227 between Atherington and Umberleigh has had temporary traffic lights in place since the storms in January.

    Local Jo Ferguson said the temporary traffic lights have become part of the furniture.

    Devon County Council said: "The temporary lights are in place for the safety of the public and it's putting together a scheme to carry out the necessary repairs."

    The Royal Devon and Exeter hospital is encouraging some patients with kidney failure to train to carry out their own dialysis at home.

    Having to go for treatment several times a week can make it impossible for patients to work and be difficult to maintain family life.

    Talks are being held this morning to discuss the impact the EU referendum could have on the Cornish economy. 

    Concerns have been raised about funding since the Brexit vote. Now Cornwall Council, the Bishop of Truro, business leaders and MPs are holding a summit in Truro.

    They're discussing the economic risks and divisions within communities following the result.
