Cornwall Olympic medallist Helen Glover says winning a second gold medal in the Rio Games after winning gold in London in 2012 has been "incredible".
Glover, from Penzance, who won the women's pairs rowing title with teammate Heather Stanning, was speaking after she arrived back in Britain earlier.
She said: "This time it really felt we done it. In London, it took us almost too long to comprehend we'd won. This time it really felt that, when we crossed the line, we'd done it, we’d won the Olympics. And when someone said to us told us we’re double Olympic champions, it felt like a title that we owned.”

A man who threatened to kill a Labour MP in a two-minute answerphone rant has been given a suspended jail sentence.
Geoffrey Farquaharson left the "venomous" message - which included a derogatory homophobic remark - on the Westminster phone of Exeter MP Ben Bradshaw the day before Labour's Jo Cox was shot and stabbed in June.

The 37-year-old from Exeter, who admitted sending a communication of an indecent or offensive nature at an earlier hearing, was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment, suspended for two years.

Two people have been jailed for helping conmen launder £200,000 from sponsors of Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club.
Adeesh Watte, 27, and Adaikalam Swaminathan, 50, allowed their bank accounts to be used by fraudsters to hide some of the total £800,000 stolen from South West Communications in June 2015.
Watte, of Harrow, and Swaminathan, of Croydon, had denied being involved in money laundering but were both jailed at Exeter Crown Court for 22 months each. Watte will be deported to Sri Lanka, where he is originally from, at the end of his sentence.
A blue lobster caught off the coast of Devon by an amateur fisherman is to be released back into the sea in the hope it will survive and breed.
It was caught by Ladram Bay Holiday Park, external director Robin Carter, who's a keen amateur fisherman.

One person has been cut free from a car after being left trapped inside after a road crash, firefighters say.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the two-vehicle collision at Trewirgie Hill in Redruth at about 13:05.
Cornwall Fire Service said, external one vehicle was on its roof with "a casualty trapped inside". The vehicle was made safe and the casualty taken out of the vehicle on a spinal board before being taken to hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known.

A significant policing operation is planned in case of disorder in reaction to badger culls being carried out in five new areas of England.

Two children have been rescued by helicopter after getting stuck on a cliff in south Devon, coastguards say.
The children were reported stuck down cliffs at Bigbury at about 11:30. A coastguard rescue team, lifeguards and a rescue helicopter were sent to the scene.
The pair were airlifted to the top of the cliff by the helicopter and reunited with their parents, coastguards said. There were no reports of any injuries.
Organisers of Truro's City of Lights festival have abandoned plans to process the event's lanterns through the city centre this year when it is held in November.
Over the years, up to 30,000 people have turned up to watch the street parade, but the numbers have caused congestion and other concerns. This year, the giant lanterns will be on display over three nights in the city's Victoria Gardens instead.
Businesses in Truro said they were disappointed with the decision. Organisers said its continued success resulted in more security being required and stress for some in the city centre, and that it being held in the park would make it more accessible.

A review is under way and the Save Our Hospital Services group is urging health bosses to preserve services as they are.

Twelve firefighters have been called to a blaze in a paper-shredding vehicle in Newquay.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said two crews were called to the vehicle in Narrowcliff just before midday.
The crews had difficulty in tackling the blaze because it was "confined to the bottom of the shredding compartment".
