Despite all that, here's a little tidbit dug up by the QI Elves about the critters earlier today (that's one from the River Otter in Devon pictured):

Dolphin pictured killing porpoise by flipping it into air

A bottlenose dolphin has been pictured flipping a porpoise into the air in a deadly attack.

The rarely seen event was witnessed by gig rowers in Newlyn Harbour in Cornwall.

The pictures were captured by the Pendeen Pilot Gig Club in a training session, which also filmed dolphins around the time of the attack.

It is unclear why dolphins attack porpoises but it could be an aggressive response to feeding competition or even "misdirected sexual aggression", wildlife experts said.

It's provoked - perhaps not unexpectedly - a mixed reaction. Here are some of the comments on our Facebook page, external:

    • Wendy Harvey: Hideous! overpowering and definitely oversized! Money could be much better spent in the community or as previously said, improving 'leg room' in the auditorium.
    • Sarah Martin: Awful. Have no idea what it's supposed to be! I wouldn't be happy with this, and definitely not at that price at this time!!
    • Russell Thompson: I think something so awesome would be the talk of the town, and a wonderful addition to the Theatre Royal façade. The difference is I'd make Bianca with fibreglass, and copper coat it. Cost would be about £50,000.
    • Alix Daughtry: Whatever was Bianca doing? Looks like someone doing speed skating!

Theatre Chief Executive Adrian Vinken said he thought people would get behind the plans.
