    The last two Exeter city centre streets closed because of the Royal Clarence Hotel fire are due to reopen next week.

    Martins Lane and Catherine Street which both run close to the hotel are important thoroughfares and home to many businesses. 

    The reopening comes ahead of the city's Christmas Market on Cathedral Green tomorrow.

    The number of Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA) claimants in Devon fell during October, representing the lowest claimant rate on record for the seventh consecutive month. 

    The total claimant count now stands at 2,847 - a 24% fall when compared to the same time last year.

    Three of Devon’s eight districts experienced falls in JSA - Exeter experiencing the greatest fall of 31 claimants. There were also falls in north and mid-Devon of 12 and 15 respectively.South Hams experienced the greatest increase, with a rise of 14 claimants.

    All 32 residents at a St Austell nursing home at the centre of a BBC Panorama investigation should be moved by the end of next week - according to Cornwall Council.

    It was announced last week the home would be closing - after Panorama raised safeguarding concerns and a multi-agency investigation was carried out. 

    The owners, the Morleigh group, say staff involved have been removed and there's been a thorough review of systems and procedures
