Police officers in Plymouth cornered an escaped sheep and put it into their patrol car.
With the help of local resident Katy Young, officers were able to catch the sheep in the rear garden of a house in Priory Drive, Plympton and eventually put the sheep in the rear of the patrol car.

Officers posted on their Plympton Police Facebook page saying it was: "All good fun."

Bored pensioner Joe Bartley is all smiles as he celebrates Christmas with his new friends at the restaurant where he now works.
Image source, CantinaMr Bartley, 89, from Paignton in Devon, put an ad in his local paper, the Herald Express, pleading for a job to stop him from "dying of boredom".
The Cantina made him a waiter and kitchen hand and last night he got a kiss from staff at the Christmas party.
"They are lovely people here, I had a great time," he said.
An elderly woman has been airlifted to Derriford Hospital after a serious two-vehicle crash, external this afternoon.
Any remaining showers will ease through the evening with clear spells for most, allowing a local frost to form.
The cloud and wind will increase from the west towards dawn though. The minimum temperature will be 3C (37F).
Tomorrow will see very strong winds with local gales, especially over coasts and hills such as Dartmoor.
A band of locally heavy rain will then move south-eastwards, clearing all parts through the evening. The maximum temperature will be 12C (54F).

Cleaners from the transport union RMT will strike tomorrow over "serious bullying, claims of discrimination and poverty working conditions" on the Great Western Railway train cleaning contract operated by Servest UK.
Members have been instructed not to book on for any shifts between 0559 on Friday and 0558 on Saturday, RMT said.
Cleaners will be picketing at Paddington Station from 06:00 tomorrow.

The Bishop of Truro is "delighted" the Diocese has agreed to buy a house in Cornwall for Syrian refugees.
The Right Reverend Tim Thornton, Bishop Of Truro, said: “I am delighted we can help assist those who have had to flee their homes and am sure they will be given a warm welcome here in Cornwall."
The property will be to provide so-called ‘move-on accommodation’ for people coming to Cornwall under the Syrian Vulnerable Person Resettlement Programme.

Thousands of children have reached relative safety and been given aid from Cornish charity ShelterBox.

Squirrels have been blamed for the devastation of a mile-longstretch of trees on the A38 between Dobwalls and Bodmin.
The Boconnoc Estate, which owns the land, says the overgrown beech hedging along the Glynn valley had to be chopped down because branches were dropping onto the road.

A driver got into deep water after apparently failing to recognise the risks of trying to drive over the sandy causeway to Burgh Island.

This driver avoided being engulfed by the rising waters - his Audi estate was towed out by a friendly farmer!

At 22:11 on Tuesday crews from Hayle and Tolvaddon Community Fire Stations were mobilised to a report of a house fire.
The fire was extinguished by a crew wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel.

Police in Plympton were called to some "early morning sheep herding".

The wooly fella was running a mock all over the area, it even attempted to get into the dentist surgery, we were reliably informed that no appointment had been booked."
The body of a man has been found in the water at Hell's Mouth at Gwithian after the emergency services were called there late last night.
Police officers, the Portreath cliff rescue team and the St Ives lifeboat crew were all involved.
His next of kin have been informed and a formal identification has taken place.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.

The Henri Lloyd store in Salcombe was targeted by thieves at about 03:15 this morning, police say.
Image source, GoogleA blue Ford Ka was spotted outside the store on the High Street and at least two white men were seen to have used hammers to gain access to the store and steal clothing before fleeing the area in the car.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious, anyone who saw a blue Ford Ka in the area before or after the raid, and would like to hear from anyone who has been offered any items of Henri Lloyd clothing for sale.
