A Plymouth man who starred in the Channel 5 reality television show Benefits: Too Fat To Work has launched a campaign against the latest plans for a fast food business opening in his area.

He said he was worried about an application by a pizza chain to take over a former bank site because the area "does not need" any more fast food businesses.

It's claimed new evidence has emerged showing significant species of marine life at a nationally important reef, called the Manacles, off The Lizard.
Developers who want to quarry stone near the reef have claimed there is little sign of any significant species, but a new report published for the Marine Conservation Society said the area should be left undisturbed.
A volunteer diver organisation, called Seasearch, also said it had found signs of a range of important marine life.
Developers said that "options for sea transport are still being investigated".
Rail travellers in the region are being warned of disruption to South West Trains services to London for the rest of the month.
It's because half of Waterloo Station is closed for the next three-and-a-half weeks while improvement work is carried out on 10 of its 22 platforms to make them longer.
Many trains will be cancelled and most others reduced or altered, affecting some services to and from Exeter. The Paddington line remains unaffected.
