At Moortown Cross, a diversion is in place and police say the road will shut for some time.
The nearby A361 is unaffected.
Today will be mainly dry with some bright or sunny spells for much of the day. The odd light shower is possible, but most will stay dry.
However, locally heavy rain and gale force winds will arrive from the west later this afternoon. Maximum temperature: 17C (63F).

A man has sustained serious injuries in a crash in South Molton.
Police, fire and ambulance are currently at the scene of a crash between an HGV and a motorcycle near Moortown Barton picnic area on the road parallel to the A361.
The male motorcyclist has been seriously injured and an air ambulance was called to the scene.
Both vehicles caught fire as a result of the collision.

There are a few accidents around this morning:
The owner of a popular attraction on Exmouth seafront says it makes sense for everyone if it stays open for another year.
The Exmouth Fun Park closed at the end of August.
East Devon Council said this was to prepare the site for new temporary attractions over the next year, pending long-term development. However, so far nothing has been agreed.
A special meeting of the council tomorrow will be urged to extent the attraction's lease.
Thousands more homes and businesses in Devon and Cornwall could access superfast broadband over the next few years.
The government's announced it's making more than £600m available nationally to those in remote and hard to reach places.
It includes £79m for the South West, which has among the slowest internet connection speeds in the country.
