Health managers in Cornwall say no firm decision has been made about the future of the mothballed Bodmin Treatment Centre, but that but plans are afoot looking at reshaping Cornwall's health and care systems.
The treatment centre opened for elective surgical procedures in 2006 to help ease pressure on Cornish hospitals.
More than 5,000 patients a year were treated at the facility, but it closed in March after Ramsay Healthcare said its contract was ending after it couldn't come to an agreement with NHS Kernow.
The clinical commissioning group said it was looking at infrastructure - including the treatment centre - as part of a wide-reaching review.
