    Police are hunting a man who exposed himself to a family in Plymouth.

    It happened at Jennycliff Bay between 15:45 and 16:45 on Monday 4 September.

    Police said: "An unknown man exposed himself in front of a girl and her family who were all on the beach near the rocks at the time."

    PC Laura Watson said police had released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. “He is described as a white male, in his late 60s to early 70s, of a thin stature with a pot belly," she said.

    “He is distinctively short for a male at approximately 5ft 3in and was wearing a baseball cap, an outer gilet, light brown knee-length shorts, walking boots, and a green backpack."

    A children's rugby team has been banned from training in their local park after residents complained they were too noisy.

    Torbay Council stopped Paignton's under-10s side from playing tag rugby after complaints of "increased noise".

    An online petition to rescind the ban has received more than 4,000 signatures.

    Torbay MP Kevin Foster said the decision made the council look like "killjoys".

    He said the ban was a "total overreaction".

    Police are searching for a man who is missing from St Ives.

    Peter Land was last seen on Friday evening.

    He is described as white, 53 years old, 5ft 8in tall, of a stocky build, with short grey/black hair and facial hair. He also wears glasses.

    Peter was last seen wearing a grey top and beige trousers. He is thought to be driving a Blue Fiat Panda.

    Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams says on-loan Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci will have to wait to get another chance to start at Home Park.

    The 25-year-old is yet to score for the Pilgrims and has lost not appeared in their past three League One games.

    Argyle are Ciftci's third loan club since moving to Celtic for £1.5m from Dundee United in the summer of 2015.

    "It's about waiting his time to get that opportunity again, but he'll get that," Adams said.

    Ciftci only joined Argyle towards the end of August as the Pilgrims returned to the third tier after six seasons in League Two.

    "He'll play in the reserve game on Tuesday and hopefully we'll get some games into him then," added Adams.

    Crews have rescued four people, including two children, at Budleigh Salterton beach.

    Exmouth's lifeboat was sent just after 17:00 yesterday to help the four people, who were having difficult landing a boat on Budleigh Salterton beach.

    The Exmouth Coastguard Response Team secured the swamped 16’ Raider in the surf.

    The uninjured casualties had already been taken ashore to warm up, as one woman had entered the water.

    A volunteer was placed on board to bale out the water until it was dry and to start the engine.

    The D class lifeboat escorted the leisure boat to Exmouth Marina under its own power.

    People living in the South Hams and West Devon now have an extra day to express their views on a proposed merger between the two authorities.

    The deadline to complete the 'One Council' survey's been extended until 09:00 tomorrow.

    The public were unable to complete the online form yesterday due to what the council's say was a technical problem beyond their control.

    Truro City's run of eight successive wins ended with a 1-1 draw at home to Hampton and Richmond.

    Connor Riley-Lowe's 78th minute equaliser cancelled out Jack Cook's second-half opener as Truro dropped from first to third place in National League South.

    "We knew the first goal was accrual, so to go a goal down was hard to take," manager Lee Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.

    "But it showed character to get back into the game. We're on a good run, we had eight wins on the trot and it's something special to do that, but we were playing a team that are nine games unbeaten themselves."

    A donation box carved in the shape of a seabird has been stolen from a wildlife hospital in Cornwall.

    The shag collection box "is of great sentimental value and a direct link to the founders" of the Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital, bosses said.

    It was carved in 1968 and is up to 1m (3ft) tall. The hospital said it was very heavy even without any cash in it.

    "He was put out Thursay morning and we believe he was still on site at lunchtime, but was missing by 5pm," the hospital said.

    Students reportedly from Camborne School of Mines could face disciplinary action after photos emerged of them wearing high-visibility jackets in Penryn, which had been covered with offensive slogans.

    In a statement Exeter University said it was extremely disappointed by what it called "unacceptable actions displayed by a small number of students" and have apologised for any offence caused.

    The famous Dingle family, who built roads in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly using steam locomotives, has decided to bid farewell to a historic collection of vintage and rare vehicles.

    The road locomotives, which have taken Richard Sandercock many years to restore, are likely to fetch hundreds of thousands of pounds when they are auctioned later in October.

    The sale includes all the tools and machinery that Richard and his engineers have used to restore the heritage vehicles.

    Worker, Dave Trebilcock, told the BBC it marked the end of an era. He said over the years there has been "blood, sweat and tears and it's going to be a great loss".

    A man who was shot and bludgeoned with a sledgehammer had told a friend he feared he would be killed by someone he knew, the BBC has learned.

    Graham Fisher and his wife Carol were murdered in their home near the petrol station they ran in Cornwall in 2003.

    Lee and Robert Firkins were jailed for life in 2006. Their solicitors said the revelation made by the victim's friend could "add weight" to an appeal.

    Devon and Cornwall Police said his statement did not contain a specific reference about who the killer might be. A spokesman said: "An appropriate summary of the statement was disclosed to both defence teams prior to the trial." The force added it had always "supported and responded" to any requests to "further review or supply material" on the case.

    The Firkins have always denied repeatedly shooting the couple, claiming they were at a pub and seeing relatives.

    They were convicted after a former cellmate of Robert Firkins told the police he had confessed to the crime.

    Parking charges will be introduced on Dartmoor because honesty boxes "don't work", the national park authority says.

    It has decided to implement the charges at Haytor, Postbridge, Meldon Reservoir and Newbridge car parks from 2018.

    About 50% of those who responsed to a consultation objected to the plans.

    Andrew Watson, from the authority, said the current honesty box system did not work and they were "facing increased challenges to effectively fund the maintenance of the car parks and associated facilities it has responsibility for".

    He added: "With greatly reduced resources the national park has to make tough decisions in order to continue to effectively carry out its primary purpose of conservation."
