Exeter forward Sam Simmonds is set to start for England for the first time, with Nathan Hughes out of Saturday's match against Samoa with a knee injury.

Wasps back row Hughes has bruising in his right knee joint and will be sidelined for up to four weeks.

That means Simmonds, 23, is likely to start at number eight in only his third international appearance.

Backs Anthony Watson and Jonathan Joseph are among those to have been left out of the 25-man squad.

Simmonds won his first cap against Argentina earlier this month, then came off the bench in the 30-6 victory over Australia.

He looks set to form a back-row combination with Chris Robshaw and Maro Itoje, who have both been retained.

  4. Tourette's man 'taming the beast'published at 09:28 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    BBC Spotlight

A man with Tourette's syndrome is preforming his own songs and using music and film to raise awareness of the condition.

Danny Sumbler, 44, from Axminster, in Devon, has made a YouTube video exploring the condition and hopes to break down some of the stigma surrounding mental health.

He says he suffered particular problems at school with teachers who didn't understand his condition: "They used to scream at me for pulling faces, they'd drag me out. They were the ones that should have took me to one side and asked me if everything was okay, but they didn't. I got over that with creativity, sport and music."

    Danny Sumbler

Danny also credits performing arts for helping him make sense of the condition, adding "I think it's been an incredible channel, it's almost like taming the beast. And Tourette's can be a beast. What I've done is managed to take the reins to that and turn a negative into a positive."

He'll be performing a collection of his own songs at a show at Axminster's Guildhall this weekend.

A combination of a high tide and strong winds are expected to make it unsafe for the trains to travel along the sea wall at Dawlish.

Bosses say the rooms are designed to offer a "homely environment within reach of extra medical support at the nearby delivery suite".
