A man's been rescued from a house fire by his neighbour.
Fire crews were called to the property in Broad Road, Kentisbeare, Devon, just after 23:00 on Wednesday to reports of a fire in the living room and a man trapped in an upstairs bedroom.

He managed to get out after his neighbour pitched a ladder up to the window.
He was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital. Fire crews also rescued a dog from the property.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
