Supplies have been restored in Exmouth after an earlier power cut, Western Power Distribution has said.
However, properties in Newton Abbot, Torquay and Axminster are still affected by power cuts.
Engineers are hoping to have the problems sorted between 09:30 and 11:00.

Devon and Cornwall Police have warned drivers it's "better to arrive late but safe" as "tough conditions" cause problems on the roads.
Drivers are advised to leave extra time for journeys and to drive with caution.

A 67-year-old woman has gone missing from Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall Police have said.
Sheila Peck was last seen in the city's Primark store on Charles Street at about 14:30 on Monday.
She is described as average height with mousy hair and blonde highlights. She was wearing a long cream jacket with ripped style jeans and sandy coloured boots.
Police are concerned for Sheila’s welfare.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police via 999.

A stretch of the M5 is closed after multiple vehicles hit a man on the road, Devon and Cornwall Police have said.
Emergency services were called to the M5 southbound between Cullompton and Exeter at about 06:40.
Police have confirmed the man has died but is yet to have been identified.
Drivers are being asked to use alternative routes.

A "salvage operation" has been carried out at a hotel in Newquay after it was flooded, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service has said.
Crews from Newquay Community Fire Station received reports of flooding and a smell of burning at about 03:40.
The fire service is yet to confirm which hotel was affected.
The scene has since been made safe.

The crash further south on the M5 near Cullompton has now forced the complete southbound closure of the motorway between junction 28 and 29.
But if you are thinking of diverting via the A30/A303, be aware there is another accident at Upottery.
The southbound carriageway of the M5 also remains closed south of Taunton after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash.

Heavy rain is expected throughout the morning and the Environment Agency is warning people to monitor their local weather conditions.
A second closure on the M5 just across the county border in Devon is causing more travel problems for people heading south out of Somerset.
Police have closed the southbound carriageway between junction 28 at Cullompton and junction 29 at Exeter.
The reason for the closure is not clear except that it's a "police incident".
