A Cornwall councillor is calling for changes to planning policies after a five-year battle with a developer to provide a play park on a Truro housing estate.

Work to repair the storm-damaged A379 at Slapton should begin in the summer, but the extent of the damage means the road will have to realigned more then expected.
The section of the A379 between Slapton and Strete Gate has been closed since early March after most of the road was washed away or undermined during Storm Emma.
The government has committed £2.5m for the reinstatement of the road and Devon County Council has been carrying out scrub clearance, surveys (including ordnance surveys) and working on designs for reconnecting the route.
However, the extent of the storm damage means that a new planning application is needed for the originally envisaged northern realignment towards Strete Gate - in order to extend it northwards and slightly to the west.
Subject to the progress of the planning application, it's hoped that work will start in the summer and is expected to be completed late autumn.

The government is being criticised for not rolling out its mental health plan for young people quickly enough.
Funding of £300m was promised last year to cut waiting times and help schools provide more support.
But a report by MPs says the scheme lacks ambition and will leave many youngsters without the help they need.
Totnes MP Dr Sarah Wollaston, who chairs the Health and Social Care Committee, called for services to be joined up "in a way which places children and young people at their heart and that improves services to all children rather than a minority".
A government spokeswoman said the proposals would "transform mental health services for children and young people, including the first ever waiting time standards for those with the most serious problems".

A holiday resort's popular seafront pitch-and-putt course could be lost as part of plans to finish the restoration of one of the region's most historic buildings.
Torbay Council is due to decide next week whether to back the third phase of the £16.6m modernisation of Torre Abbey, in Torquay.
But a new path linking the abbey with the seafront has been criticised by some councillors, who say the proposal was supposed to have been removed from the plans.
Documents prepared for councillors say redesigning, removing or re-locating the pitch-and-putt would enhance the abbey complex's setting, and reconnect the historic buildings with the seafront.
Work is urgently needed to stop water leaking into the abbey buildings.

The decision to sit out competition in the rest of 2018 means Daley will miss the European Championships in Glasgow and the remainder of the Fina Diving World Series season.
He will return to training in the autumn but will not compete in major competition until 2019.
