    Organisers of a music festival in Looe at the weekend say they'll be meeting with volunteers, local people and businesses before deciding whether to stage another festival next year.

    Three weeks ago, it looked as though the annual event would be cancelled completely after the charity that ran it went into administration.

    But, the local community donated money to put on a smaller festival called Looe Saves The Day as a replacement.

    At the weekend, music was played across 29 venues in the town.

    These festival-goers were pleased the festival went ahead...

    A fire at a house in Chulmleigh "started in the airing cupboard", firefighters have said., external

    Crews were called to the property at Leigh Villas at about 05:05 and subsequently evacuated the householder.

    The fire was put out and a ventilation fan was used to "clear the property of smoke".

    The cause of the blaze was accidental and no-one was hurt, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service added.

    The sculpture of a drummer, which dominates Truro's Lemon Quay, is temporarily moving home, external.

    The iconic 15ft (4.5m) bronze sculpture, which contains Cornish tin and copper, will take up residence at the Eden Project, while a multimillion-pound refurbishment of the Hall for Cornwall takes place.

    The statue, by artist Tim Shaw, was unveiled by the drummer of Queen, Roger Taylor, in 2011.

    Work to move it will take place on Tuesday.

    A driver has suffered "potentially life-changing" injuries after a crash in Cornwall, police have said.

    Officers were called to a three-vehicle crash on the A390 near Dobwalls at about 08:30.

    The driver of one of the vehicles has been taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

    One lane remains closed between Twelvewoods Roundabout and East Taphouse.

    Cannabis, MDMA and cocaine were found at a property in the town on Friday.

    Officers suspected they were for use by "vulnerable, young people".

    The lighthouse was built in 1897

    The historic Lundy Island North lighthouse is set to be modernised, improved and brought back to its original function.

    The tower and engine room have been non-operational since it was automated and converted to solar power in 1991.

    The plans have been submitted by the Corporation of Trinity House, a charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers.

    Documents handed to Torridge District Council said the current arrangement - whereby the site was largely mothballed - did not serve the basic services required on maintenance visits to the lighthouse well.

    The Corporation of Trinity House proposals would include:

    • A new light installed inside the lantern room of the historic lighthouse tower
    • Solar panels put on the roof of the water recycling tank
    • Removing the redundant fuel tanks
    • Removing the redundant emergency light from the top of tower
    • Installing two gates to deter members of the public from accessing the solar panelled area
    • Adding lightening protection to the tower

    A father from Cornwall who lost his daughter to a brain tumour is "making good progress" riding her tiny pink bike on a 200-mile route in her memory.

    Peter Williams, from Penzance, set off from Bristol Children's Hospital on Friday to cycle to Land's End.

    He is raising awareness of the type of tumour that killed seven-year-old Ellie in 2015.

    Pete expects to cross over into Cornwall on Monday.

    Princess Anne is in Devon later to mark two special anniversaries.

    She'll first visit the Rothamsted Research site at North Wyke, near Okehampton, to mark more than 50 years of livestock research.

    It's a national and global research facility that's linked to real-world farming.

    Then, she'll head to Exeter to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.

    She'll tour the museum, meet curators and unveil a plaque.

    Police in Exeter are warning people of a bogus window cleaner in the city.

    There have been reports a man is "pretending" to clean windows in the St Thomas, Alphington and St Davids areas, and then asking for money from homeowners.

    The man is described as white, about 6ft (1.8m) tall, of medium build and with "thinning hair".

    Officers added he "usually goes around on a bike".

    Police said people should call them if the man refused to leave properties when asked.
