A mother and daughter letting agent team have been jailed for defrauding tenants and landlords "on an industrial scale" out of more than £266,000.
Angela Treneer, 72, and her daughter, Elizabeth Treneer (pictured), 38, ran Truro-based agency Premier Property Management.
Truro Crown Court heard that, between 2009 and 2017, they unlawfully retained money from at least 40 victims.
One pair of landlord victims had £53,000 taken from them as part of the Treneers' frauds, which saw money taken to maintain lifestyles which included holidays for Elizabeth, prosecutors said.
Angela Treneer, of Mylor Bridge, known as Colleen, who pleaded guilty to fraud by dishonestly abusing her position as a letting agent, was jailed for 20 months, with half to be served on licence.
Elizabeth Treneer, of Perranwell Station, known as Ann, admitted two counts of participating in a fraudulent business and perverting the course of justice.
She was imprisoned for 40 months for each fraud, to be served concurrently, with half to be served on licence. She was also jailed for four months for perverting the course of justice, also to be served concurrently.
