    A 24-year-old man from Cornwall has been reported missing.

    Police said they were growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Josh Tucker, who was last seen on Monday morning in Par.

    Josh is described as having blond floppy hair that’s shaved to the side, a lean muscular build, and wearing black jeans, a grey hoody and trainers.

    A man has been charged with assault, causing actual bodily harm, two counts of criminal damage and a public order offence after a concrete block was thrown through the window of a school bus last week.

    Police were called to reports that the block was thrown at the bus in Plymouth on Friday.

    One of two female police officers called to the incident outside Widewell Primary School was then allegedly punched and choked by a man at the scene, police said.

    She was treated for serious facial injuries in hospital and released later that day. None of the children or the other officer were hurt.

    A 54-year-old man from Estover is due to appear before Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Monday.

    One person whose house in Plymouth was on fire was helped out of the building by a neighbour with a ladder, firefighters say, external.

    The occupant of the home in Parker Close called to report the first-floor blaze at about 05:30 on Monday while they were still inside the property.

    The neighbour helped the occupant through a first-floor window.

    Two fire appliances from Crownhill and Plympton were immediately mobilised to the scene, joined by a crew from Greenbank later to extinguish the fire.

    Nearly 1,200 people have signed a petition against the closure of the fire station in Colyton.

    Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service announced plans last week to close the station, along with six others in Devon, including: Appledore, Ashburton, Budleigh Salterton, Kingston, Topsham and Woolacombe.

    Those who started the online campaign against the move said: "As a community, we cannot let this happen.

    "There must be a way around closing down stations that are needed in our communities."

    The service said some stations attended only a handful of fires each year and had more resources than they needed.

    The driver of a car that crashed through a concrete wall in a village in Cornwall on Saturday night and ended up in a front garden is in a serious condition in hospital.

    The passenger of the car also suffered injuries in the crash in Bugle and the road was closed until early on Sunday morning while an investigation took place.

    The driver was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth for treatment.

    Police have appealed for witnesses.

    A man has been arrested after a burglary and reports of an assault in Barnstaple on Sunday.

    Armed police were called out to a property on Sticklepath Terrace at about 14:30 as it was believed a person had been stabbed.

    When the police arrived, they found the victim had not been stabbed but had facial injuries.

    A suspect is in police custody.

    A Devon-based charity which helps disadvantaged young people and adults has moved to a bigger premises after it saw a rise in demand for its services.

    Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship use horses and ponies as a form of therapy. Participants care for the animals, boosting their own mental health and confidence.

    The charity has moved from a small farm in Seal Hayne to a 10-acre site on the Dartington Hall Estate.

    All streetlights operated by Devon County Council will be converted to low-energy LED bulbs in the next three years.

    So far 34,000 lights have been changed.

    The council said that once the programme was complete it would reduce carbon emissions by 75%.

    In conjunction with part-time lighting being introduced in some residential areas, the council said it had £3m a year.
