Ballot boxes for the final constituency to announce its results are on their way to be counted after stormy conditions passed.
In the St Ives constituency, adverse weather had meant boats and a Royal Naval Air Service helicopter from the outer islands of the Isles of Scilly were unable to reach the main island of St Mary's.
Andrew Walder, a skipper for Tresco Boats, ferried the final votes from St Martin's and St Agnes on Friday morning after conditions had "much improved".
"The wait is nearly over!" Mr Walder told the PA news agency.
"We usually are last to declare. (That's) life on the Isles of Scilly - at the mercy of the weather this time of year.
"Generally why elections are held in the summer!"
After vote counting was suspended early on Friday morning, Cornwall Council said it hopes to reopen at Truro College at 14:30 to restart.
St Ives will be the last of 650 seats to declare.
The only seat still to declare in Cornwall is St Ives.
The count has been delayed because ballot boxes have not been able to get off all of the islands in the Isles of Scilly.
The result will not be declared until Friday afternoon at the earliest.
The ballot boxes have left Bryher and Tresco on the jet boat, Cyclone.
The boat now has to go to St Martin's and St Agnes but the stormy conditions may prevent their boxes being collected, meaning a delay to the declaration.
The intention is collect the remaining ballot boxes from St Agnes and St Martin’s at 09:00.
As the Conservatives hold Totnes, Sarah Wollaston - now a Liberal Democrat - loses her seat.

Liberal Democrat candidate Sarah Wollaston says she could not have stayed in the Conservative party, despite losing her seat after switching from the Tories earlier this year.
"There are a lot of the poorest communities in Devon and across this country who have put their trust, I fear, in a government that really has no interest in them and will not protect them," she said.
"The thing that is profoundly worrying for all of us is that we now have a prime minister and a government that will routinely bury reports that are uncomfortable."
