The Conserative MP for Colchester, Will Quince, has tweeted, external he is "deeply concerned" that the Colchester Hospital chairwoman was reimbursed more than £5,000 for a cancelled holiday.
Dr Sally Irvine was paid £5,700 by the trust running the hospital when she missed a Christmas safari in December 2013 to handle accusations that the trust was bullying staff.
Mr Quince shared his concerns with more than 2,500 followers on Twitter.
Essex Police is hoping those who attended a motocross event in Sible Hedingham on 25 October maybe able to help with its search for missing pensioner Gordon Wilson.
The 82-year-old from Leaden Roding was last seen walking through Halstead Road in the village on the day of the event.
The force posted an appeal on its Facebook page, external earlier, urging any bikers who saw him to contact them.

The Forestry Commission says it has "suspended" immediate plans to remove a shelter in a Tiptree woodland after discovering it was occupied by a homeless man.
The Daily Gazette, external reported the structure in Pods Wood was being lived in by Chaz Johnson, 21, after he was left without a home six months ago.
The commission said it had been asked by the land's owner to remove it, however today said it will help find Mr Johnson "more appropriate housing" before taking further action.

Southend United defender Adam Thompson is in contention to make his first appearance in more than six months tomorrow.
Thompson has been out with a dislocated shoulder and could return to the starting XI for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy match at home to Bristol Rovers.

Officers say they solved almost 300 investigations during last week's Operation Enforcer.
Arrests were made across the county.

The trust running Colchester Hospital has confirmed it paid its chairwoman thousands of pounds to reimburse her for when she had to cancel a holiday to deal with a crisis.
TheDaily Mail reported, external Dr Sally Irvine was paid more than £5,700 when she missed a Christmas safari in December 2013 to handle accusations that the trust wasfalsifying data.
A spokesman said Dr Irvine (pictured) had been unable to claim back all her costs, and the trust had agreed to cover the bill as there were "exceptional circumstances".

Essex Police has launched an operation to tackle crime, external specifically in Basildon.
The force says in the past eight months there have been 120 reported robberies and 1,376 reports of vehicle crime in the town.
Operation Delta will run for one month and includes extra patrols and roadside checks.

Remember Hagrid, the 11st (70kg) Leonberger from Harlow who was the world record holder for "most items caught by a dog in 30 seconds"?
