    Clockwise traffic is queuing to J29 for the A127 and anticlockwise traffic is back through the Dartford Tunnel.

    Highways England says the QEII Bridge will be closed overnight, external tomorrow whilst maintenance work takes place.

    Last night I took a trip to the Sugar Hut in Brentwood as Essex X Factor contestants returned to the county to perform for their fans.

    Thousands turned out to see Louisa Johnson, external from Thurrock and Che Chesterman, external from Laindon - the atmosphere was electric!

    Both are preparing to take part in the quarter finals this weekend, and I couldn't resist a quick selfie.

    The inquest into the death of Nick Alexander from Weeley who was killed in the Paris attacks has been told he died from gunshot wounds to his stomach and chest.

    The brief hearing at Chelmsford Coroner's Court took place as his parents attended a memorial service in Paris for the victims of the shootings two weeks ago.

    Mr Alexander's body has now been released so his funeral arrangements can be made.

    I've spoken to the East of England Ambulance Service, external about the man who is thought to have fallen around 30m (98ft) from a building on Rosemary Road in Clacton.

    It tells me a man in his 40s was treated for a broken leg and taken to Colchester Hospital earlier this morning. 

    He is said to be conscious and breathing.

    Many people have left with boxes under their arms, but shopper Mustafa (pictured) left empty- handed because he was "disappointed" with the offers.

    "I came to find a TV for my kids, but there's not enough discount... I was expecting them to be half-price," he said.

    The family of Nick Alexander, from Weeley, who was killed in the Paris terror attacks, say "words cannot express the sadness we feel".

    The 36-year-old's parents will attend a memorial service this morning in Paris alongside 1,000 others to remember those who died in the attacks two weeks ago. 

    "The outpouring of love from around the world has been a great comfort to us and makes us even more proud to have had Nick as our son", they added.

    An inquest into the death of a Weeley man killed during the Paris terror attacks is due to open today.

    Nick Alexander, 35, was killed whilst selling merchandise at the Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan Theatre on 13 November.

    The inquest will be opened in Chelmsford later. Meanwhile, a national day of mourning to remember the victims will be held across France today.

    A man has been rescued after falling 30m (98ft) from a derelict building in Clacton this morning.

    Essex Fire and Rescue, external said it was called at about 06:10 to assist paramedics after the incident on Rosemary Road. 

    The man has been left in the care of paramedics. His condition is not yet known.
