  11. Drone reveals car stranded on causewaypublished at 19:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2016

Drone footage has captured motorists risking the Mersea Island causeway at high tide.

The footage, filmed by Craig Moorcroft, shows drivers of cars and lorries on The Strood - which connects Mersea Island with the mainland.

Despite repeated warnings, some motorists try their luck when the tide is high and Craig captured the moment one car broke down in the middle of the causeway.

Emergency services are called out several times a year to help stranded drivers.
