    07:25 - Alongside at Royal Naval Dockyard

    07:29 - berthing process begins

    09:30 approx - berthing process complete.

    I'm live at Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard where the media have been gathered in the shadow of HMS Warrior to watch today's arrival of HMS Queen Elizabeth.

    It was an early start for most of us - my alarm went off at 04:45am!

    But the bacon sandwiches have been laid out and we're all getting into position.

    The UK's new £3bn aircraft carrier is due to arrive in its home port of Portsmouth shortly.

    Spectators are expected to line the shoreline to watch the ship's arrival, expected at about at about 07:10 BST.

    The 65,000-tonne ship has been undergoing sea trials since setting sail from Rosyth dockyard in Fife, where it was built, in June.
