    Two men have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a man in Windsor.

    Mohammed Rasheed, 50, was found with fatal head injuries near nightclubs and pubs in the Goswell Hill area of the town early on Sunday 10 September.

    Ashley Ball, 28, and Kirk Bentley, 31, both of Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey were charged on Wednesday.

    They have been released on bail to appear at Slough Magistrates' Court on 12 December.

    Police have released CCTV images of two motorcyclists they want to identify following 270 reports of motorbikes or scramblers being illegally ridden in Havant, Hampshire.

    Recent incidents include a man being verbally abused and shot at with a BB gun by riders.In another case, motorcycles were being ridden through the shopping areas and riders were seen to let off fireworks.

    The findings of a review into the design, build and delivery of the troubled new Cowes floating bridge will be made public in January, Isle of Wight Council has said.

    The troubled £3.2m vessel was withdrawn from service in September after suffering numerous technical failures.

    University of Reading has submitted plans for its next building at Thames Valley Science Park.

    The third building in the first phase of the development will provide 40,000 sq ft of space for technology companies.

    It will be an extension to the existing Gateway building, which is due to be complete later this year.

    E-fits have been issue of two men wanted in connection with a rape more than 13 years ago in Winchester.

    The victim, aged 23 at the time, was pushed to the ground, threatened with a knife and raped by two men in an alleyway near Sainsbury at Badger Farm.

    The attack happened at about 20:30 BST on 25 September 2004.

    A new plant for painting and storing wind turbine blades is to open at Fawley, external on the site of a decommissioned oil-fired power station.

    MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is manufacturing the 80-metre turbine blades at its factory on the Isle of Wight.

    The Fawley facility, which will open in April 2018, will create up to 50 jobs.

    Sixty addresses in Weymouth, Dorchester and Bridport have been targeted by police in anti-drugs operations earlier this week.

    The addresses were identified as being used by suspected drug gangs for "cuckooing" - where dealers take over the homes of vulnerable people to deal drugs from.

    A 27-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of possession and supply of a controlled class A drug. A 22-year-old Weymouth man was arrested on suspicion of possession and attempt to supply a controlled class A drug. Both men have been released while investigations continue.

    Southampton University scientists have been awarded £192,000 by the UK Space Agency to study the effects of space flight on human muscle tone.

    Space station crew members will have their muscles and other tissue monitored before, during and after flight, using ultrasound and a new handheld device to measure tone and stiffness.

    Maria Stokes, professor of Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, said: "Ultimately our findings will benefit patients with muscle problems back on Earth."

    Simone Grainger, 30, died at her home shortly after being found with head injuries in Windsor Way, Calcot, on Saturday afternoon.

    Mr Grainger was remanded with custody and will appear at Reading Crown Court tomorrow morning.

    Two teenage runners fatally hit by car driven by a soldier a year ago are being remembered today.

    Stacey Burrows, 16, and Lucy Pygott, 17, who were were members of Aldershot, Farnham and District Athletic Club were out training in Aldershot when they were run over by Michael Casey on 8 November.

    Tim Eglen, who manages the club's U17s, U15s and U13s Cross Country teams said: "The focus is on a day of quiet contemplation."

    Lucy, who was from Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, had won a 3,000m bronze medal at the European Youth Championships in July.

    Stacey, from Farnborough, was the Hampshire under-17 3,000m champion.

    Casey, who was over the alcohol limit and speeding when he killed the two teenage athletes, was jailed for six years in April.

    Two lifeboat station volunteers from Poole have been presented with an award for their exceptional service to the RNLI.

    Rod and Carole Brown received the Local HERO award after 24 years of volunteering and fundraising for the station.

    Mr Brown held the role of Lifeboat Operation Manager at the station while Carole worked as treasurer.

    A campaign group wants to turn double-decker buses into mobile homeless shelters in Oxford.

    It follows similar projects in Reading and the Isle of Wight.

    The plan is being backed by the Oxford Green Party, which is offering to help secure funding and find volunteers.

    In response, Oxford City Council says it welcomes new ideas and resources but added it was essential any solutions are properly resourced and provide a safe environment as well as shelter.

    Thousands of homes in Slough were without power earlier after a cable was damaged.

    Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said power went off in Farnham Royal and Burnham shortly after 10:20.

    It said engineers discovered third-party damage to a cable, affecting 2,812 customers.

    It said it restored power to all but 418 properties by 13:30.

    A spokeswoman said: "We would like to thank customers for their patience while our engineers work to restore their supply as quickly and as safely as possible."
