    The sister of a teenager who has gone missing without her medication has pleaded for help to find her.

    Gaia Pope, 19, suffers from severe epilepsy and was last seen in Swanage, Dorset, at about 15:45 GMT on Tuesday.

    Her sister Clara Pope-Sutherland said her disappearance was "completely out of character".

    A stable in Kirtlington has been destroyed by a fire that started after hot ashes were stored near firewood and hay.

    Firefighters were called at about 13:00 yesterday after the blaze spread to the whole building, which was adjacent to a house, large oil tank and caravan.

    A horse, who was not harmed, was moved to safety before the fire took hold.

    Three members of staff from the nearby golf club initially fought the fire with extinguishers and were treated for mild smoke inhalation by paramedics.

    Two teenage girls are recovering in hospital after being stabbed with a knife during a fight in Reading. , external

    Thames Valley Police said at about 19:30 GMT on Wednesday an argument broke out on a field at the Rivermead Leisure Complex, in Richfield Avenue.

    A 13-year-old sustained a serious wound to her stomach and a 14-year-old was stabbed in the shoulder and leg.

    A 15-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

    The two victims are in a stable condition in hospital, police said, and the suspect has been released under investigation.

    The body of a Royal Marine who died in Dubai has been repatriated to the UK.

    James Holloway of Plymouth-based 42 Commando died aboard RFA Ford Rosalie on 29 October.

    The Ministry of Defence said an investigation into the marine's death is being carried out, but it was not as a result of operational activity.

    On Wednesday evening, veterans and representatives from the Royal British Legion paid their respects as the cortege made its way from RAF Brize Norton to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

    The break-in happened in Gordon Avenue on Monday at about 03:30. A door was kicked open but nothing was stolen.

    A man and a woman were seen in the area and officers would like to speak to them.

    Thames Valley Police has released a CCTV image after a burglary in which cash was stolen in Bicester., external

    It happened between 17:00 on 19 September and 08:00 on 20 September when Just Men on Evans Yard, Sheep Street, Bicester, was broken into.

    Sergeant Kerry O’Leary said: “I am keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images, as he may have information which is vital to our investigation."

    Plans to create a hospice in Winchester have been unveiled.

    Burrell House at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital is to be converted into a 10-bed hospice and is due to open early in 2019.

    It will be the city's first hospice and include a home service for patients wishing to stay at home for the last weeks of their lives.

    The project is expected to cost more than £2.5m which will be raised through charitable donations.

    A lorry carrying pig carcasses has shed its load after its doors flew open.

    The incident, which happened just after 12:00 GMT, has forced the closure of Spread Eagle Hill in Shaftesbury.

    Police said the vehicle was "forced backwards" by a large diesel spill on the hill, which caused the back doors to open, scattering animal carcasses in the road.

    The local authority is at the scene clearing up the fuel and animals before the road can reopen.

    A new school which is due to replace the troubled Sandown Bay Academy in 2018 will have no sixth form, Isle of Wight Council has confirmed.

    The council is setting up an all-through school, after Academies Enterprise Trust announced in May that Sandown Bay would close.

    Councillor Paul Brading, in charge of education, said the government would not approve a sixth form because pupil numbers were currently too low.

    He said those already studying A-levels at Sandown would be able to complete their courses.

    Thames Valley Police is one of just two forces in England and Wales to have been rated "outstanding".

    A report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary said it had strong governance processes and is efficient,

    It's use of resources was also praised in the inspection findings which have been published today, external.

    Police and Crime Commissioner, Anthony Stansfeld, told BBC Radio Oxford it was "very satisfactory" but added financial cuts meant it was an "uphill job" and said he'd like more money to be put into policing especially as crime was rising.

    Hampshire Police and Dorset Police were both rated as "good" by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary.

    Penny Mordaunt has been promoted to be the UK's new international development secretary, in charge of a £13bn annual budget.

    Ms Mordaunt, who had been a junior work and pensions minister, was seen as a frontrunner to land the job of defence secretary when Michael Fallon was forced to quit last week.

    Her background as a naval reservist made her appear a good fit for that role and she had previously been the armed forces minister under David Cameron - the first woman to have held that role.

    It was not to be her day last Thursday - but the Portsmouth North MP has not had to wait long for another opportunity to get her feet under the cabinet table.

    Penny Mordaunt has been promoted to the cabinet as the new International Development Secretary, following the resignation of Priti Patel.

    Like Ms Patel, Ms Mordaunt was among Conservatives who backed Leave during the EU Referendum campaign.

    The former work and pensions minister, 44, has now left Downing Street and arrived at her new department.

    Ms Mordaunt, MP for Portsmouth North, is a Royal Navy reservist and was appointed as the first female minister for the Armed Forces in 2015.

    Hampshire Constabulary has released a statement following the discovery of a "suspicious object" at Solent Airport.

    "We were called to the HMS Daedalus site at 12:38 today following the discovery of what is believed to be a piece of historic ordnance," it reads.

    "Officers are currently at the scene and are in contact with an EOD [Explosive Ordnance Disposal] team.

    "No evacuation of the site has been necessary at this point."
