  1. Man re-arrested following teen shooting in Blackwaterpublished at 13:29 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    A 41-year-old man from Farnborough has been re-arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, in connection with a shooting in Hearsey Gardens.

    On 10 February, 17-year-old man was shot in the torso and suffered life-changing injuries.

    The man remains in custody.

    A 16-year-old boy was arrested at the time for conspiracy to murder and was given bail.

    Six people have been re-arrested on offences including conspiracy to murder and assisting an offender.

  2. M3 eastbound remains closed in Winchesterpublished at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 27 November 2018

    The M3 junction 9 interchange in Winnall remains closed following collision and overturned lorry earlier this morning.

    Crews are dealing with a diesel spill and moving the lorry. Police have advised to use roads J8 or J10.

    Roads are likely to be closed for some time.

    Servicemen and women living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are rebuilding their lives with a new therapy.

    More than 100 people are enrolled with the Hampshire charity Models for Heroes that runs classes in how to make intricate scale models of a variety of military, civilian and science fiction aircraft and vehicles.

    The charity relies on donations from modellers who've got a surplus of unmade kits, known as their "stash".

    The therapy works by concentrating the mind on one small, detailed task that allows it to focus and then relax.

    Police have arrested two people after a cash machine in Hampshire was targeted by ram raiders.

    The HSBC on the High Street in Alton was hit by a JCB truck in the early hours of last Friday. and trays containing cash were stolen.

    Both people arrested have been released from custody while inquiries continue.

    Cobden Bridge in Southampton has reopened bothways between Bitterne Triangle and St Denys Road after a crash involving a police car and one other car.

    All surrounding routes remain heavily congested and buses are reporting delays of about 45 minutes.

    There are long delays heading into Southampton this morning after an earlier crash involving a police car and one other vehicle near Cobden Bridge.

    No-one was hurt but the police vehicle was badly damaged.

    The road has re-opened to traffic heading outbound from the city, but is still closed inbound from Bitterne.

    It is not yet known if the police car was responding to a 999 call.
