A new special educational needs (SEN) school is due to be built in Reading after the council was successful in its bid to the Department for Education.
The school will welcome both students on the autistic spectrum as well as those with emotional and mental health needs.
The bid for a new SEN free school, which is anticipated to open in 2022, was made jointly with West Berkshire Council and Wokingham Borough Council.
The school, due to open by 2022, will have a capacity of 150 students and will be shared by the three authorities.
Windsor Great Park will be closed on Wednesday due to severe weather forecast.
The park will be closed along with The Savill Garden and the Savill Building, with all area closed to visitors, pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders all day.
A spokesperson for the Crown Estate cited Met Office warnings of "very strong winds" as a reason to close off the site.
"The Great Park and its Gardens are home to tens of thousands of trees, of which a great many are hundreds of years old and these are more susceptible to the effects of strong winds," the spokesperson said.

A Labour councillor has left Kent County Council to focus on his role as an MP for Slough, Berkshire.
The father-of-two, born in Slough, has represented Gravesend for more than 12 years as both a borough and county councillor.
Tanmanjeet Dhesi had previously faced criticism for splitting his time between two towns about 60 miles apart.
His resignation means there is will be a by-election for Northfleet and Gravesham West in May.
Mr Dhesi said: "I'm extremely grateful to the fine people of Northfleet and Gravesend West who elected me in 2017, given my previous decade long record of service within Gravesham.
"It has been an honour and a privilege to serve them over the last two years."
Police have appealed for help in tracing down a 55-year-old woman who went missing from Oxford.
Lorraine Easom, who also uses the first name Claudia, was last seen at a property in Harpes Road, Summertown, on Wednesday 3 March.
She is 5ft 2 and has brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.
Detective Inspector James Senior, based at St Aldates police station, said:“Lorraine has a spinal condition which means she cannot walk very far and normally uses a bicycle to push as a walking aid. Her bicycle has been left at home.
“If you believe you have seen Lorraine, or someone matching her description, please call police as soon as possible as we have concerns for her welfare.”
Flo plays tennis in a wheelchair because of her cerebral palsy, but she cannot find find anyone to play against.

Adam Wilcox, 55, of Colehill Crescent in Bournemouth, was taken to hospital following the crash in Mansbridge Road, Southampton, shortly after 07:40 GMT on Thursday.
He died as a result of his injuries on Friday.
The force said it was continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Almost £19m have been pumped into Hampshire's parks in a bid to attract more visitors and make them self-sufficient in the future.
The money will go towards refurbishing buildings, improving play equipment, building fresh trails and constructing new catering facilities.
Lepe Country Park, Manor Farm, Queen Elizabeth Country Park, River Hamble Country Park, Royal Victoria Country Park, Staunton Country Park, and Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve have all received a share of £18.8m, of which £11.8m has come from the council's own coffers.

Last year, almost 900 people were prosecuted for seat belt offences in the Thames Valley.
In the past six years, 36 drivers across the area have been killed as a result of not wearing a seat belt, despite it being compulsory to wear since 1983.

Thames Valley Police received reports of a vehicle on fire at Ardington Wick, Wantage, in Oxfordshire, at about 01:10 GMT on Thursday.
Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service also attended the incident.
The post mortem examination and formal identification are yet to take place.

But now, nine of the town's nurseries and pre-schools have been recognised for improving oral health in children under five.
Sharon Anderson, from Cippenham Baptist Pre-School, said the school teaches children songs and exercises to encourage them to brush their teeth.
Schools have also encouraged children to reduce sugar in their diets.
A referendum in March last year saw residents voting in favour for the £8m primary school in Theale.

Plans for a newly created space in Portsmouth city centre will be made available to the public next week.
Following the demolition of the former Drift in the City bar, which closed in 2003, drop-in sessions will run from 20 March to show what could occupy the land.
Visitors will also have the chance to discuss the plans with the designers and other experts.
Ben Dowling, the councillor in charge of regeneration in the city, said: ‘We have a great opportunity here to use good quality landscaping, planting, seating, paving and lighting to make the most of this important part of the city."
