  1. Police investigate West Midlands pupils over 'sexting'published at 12:11

    More than 100 pupils were investigated last year for offences related to 'sexting', two police forces have revealed.

    West Mercia Police said it investigated 74 people aged between 10 and 17 in 2015 over explicit messages, some containing naked images.

    Warwickshire Police also investigated 33 people in the same age group.

    Kidderminster Harriers earned a much-needed win over Boreham Wood on Saturday.

    Ben Whitfield gave the visitors the lead with a long-range shot after latching onto Elton Ngwatala's lay-up.

    Ngwatala made sure of a Kidderminster win with a penalty after Arthur Gnahoua was fouled by David Stephens.

  3. Two children airlifted to hospital after wall collapses in Eveshampublished at 11:23 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2016

    Two young children have been airlifted to hospital after a wall collapsed near Evesham.

    The emergency services were called out to Bretforton earlier this morning. A five-year-old has head and leg injuries while a seven-year-old has leg injuries. 

    Western Road with the junction of Honeybourne Road in Bretforton has now reopened.

  4. Rugby Union: Warriors' defeat to London Irish 'unacceptable' says Dean Ryanpublished at 10:47

    Worcester Warriors' boss Dean Ryan has described his side's 20-13 Aviva Premiership defeat to London Irish yesterday as "unacceptable".

    The club's sixth straight league defeat leaves them just one point above relegation rivals Irish and Newcastle in the table.

    Afterwards, the Warriors' Director of Rugby Ryan told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "The first 40 minutes was terrible.

    "It's unacceptable to play in a game of this magnitude and not have the energy. There's no hiding from that and papering over the cracks, Irish were in charge of that game for 50-60 minutes."

  8. Flood warnings for River Avonpublished at 09:13 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2016

    There are still flood warnings in place for the River Avon at Evesham, Strensham and Bredon and at Wyre Piddle, external.

    Lesser flood alerts have been issued for the River Severn throughout Worcestershire, the River Wye in Herefordshire and for Kempsey, among other areas being monitored by the Environment Agency.
