Police officers from a Caribbean island have arrived in Worcester, external for a month long attachment with officers in Worcester CID.
An 80-year-old woman was threatened with a knife in her Redditch home by a man who stole cash, police say.
According to West Mercia Police, the man forced his way into the house on Bromsgrove Road between 15:30 and 15:45 yesterday.
The intruder, who was disturbed by another family member returning home, fled with the money in the direction of the Queen's Head pub (pictured).

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a dad who was knifed to death on Father's Day.
Christian Bagley was stabbed in the arm and back under Hunderton Bridge in Hereford after visiting his daughter on 21 June. He died in hospital.
Campaigners from the Save our Sports Hall group were out in full force on Saturday at the Dolphin Leisure Centre to raise awareness for the plans to redevelop the centre without providing a sports hall, external.

A Worcester company which has had a presence in the city for more than a century says it's planning to go into administration, putting 100 jobs at risk.
The engineering firm Froude Hofmann, based at the Blackpole trading estate, says it's experienced a period of "significant losses" and low volume orders.

Worcester Girls U-18s are through to the final of the RFU Girls Cup after a 32-26 win over POW U-18 Girls.
They'll play Pulborough U-18 Girls, external on Sunday, 25 April, at a venue to be announced.

This 2m (7ft) card is currently on its way to Buckingham Palace by bicycle - Sidney Truelove, from Wellington Primary School in Herefordshire, is one of the many children who helped design it.
Bromsgrove MP and government minister, Sajid Javid, is set to meet with the health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, and the chief executive of NHS Improvement, Jim Mackey, next week to discuss the future of Worcestershire's hospitals.
At the meeting, which other Worcestershire MPs have been invited to attend, NHS Improvement will present its plan for securing services provided by Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust into the future.

The daughter of a former SAS solider who's been jailed for keeping a pistol says he has an "emotional attachment" to the weapon.
Albert Patterson, who's 65, is serving 15 months in prison for keeping a pistol and ammunition from the Falklands War in his home in Hereford.
Almost 90,000 people have now signed a petition for the veteran to be freed, external, started by The Sun newspaper.
