A Worcestershire farmer whose tractor nearly caused a major disaster after being stolen and crashed into the wall of a railway bridge says it's fortunate nobody was killed.
On Friday night, the vehicle was taken from Martyn Icke's farm in Drakes Broughton.
Quote MessageThe way the tractor was balanced it could have dropped on to the lines and then the train coming two or three minutes later would have crashed into it... been derailed and lives would have been lost."

"Four wickets in the afternoon session including two in the last three overs before tea have put Worcestershire in a good position.
"Ed Joyce and Chris Nash had 58 on the board before Ed Barnard bowled the former for 58 and Jack Shantry then tied down the batsmen with a fine spell, conceding only seven runs in eight overs, before Matt Henry struck to remove Nash for 31.
"Luke Wells top edged a six and then tried to repeat it, holing out to Shantry at fine leg, and Joe Leach had two in two overs as he trapped Taylor lbw off the last ball before tea."
Five nights of work on Worcester's southern link road are due to begin tonight.
The work will involve the removal of overhead power cables, along with the installation of drainage ducts and culverts, on the Norton to Ketch arm of the A4440.
The work is described as one of the biggest upgrades to the road infrastructure in Worcestershire by the county council and will see the road reduced to one lane between 20:00 and 06:00 to minimise disruption.

Hereford FC’s manager, Pete Beadle doesn’t believe the players have yet appreciated the scale of their achievements so far this season.
The Bulls have already won the Midland Football League Championship and League Cup, as well as the County Cup in which they beat Westfields 5-1 in the final.
The will head to Wembley on Sunday, 22 May for the FA Vase final against Morpeth Town and Beadle feels it will be only then that the squad will appreciate just how far they have come in what is the club’s debut season.
