    The Met Office is warning that rising temperatures could trigger some heavy, slow-moving downpours, external across the Midlands, between now and 22:00.

    It says there could be some flooding, disruption to travel and even lightning in places.

    It says some area may miss them, but where they do occur, there could be localised flooding and disruption to travel - with lightning an additional hazard.

    The yellow warning is in place from 10:00 to 22:00.

    1,000 hand-crafted forget-me-nots will be used to create a Celebration Garden at the base of St Andrew's spire this August., external

    The display is being created for the first time by St Richard's Hospice and is reminiscent of the poppies planted in the grounds of the Tower of London in 2014. 

    People are being encouraged to celebrate someone or something special with one of the forget-me-not clusters in the display, which they can later take home as a keepsake or a gift.

  13. Weather delays clearing of collapsed bridge rubblepublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

    Work on clearing rubble at the site where Eastham bridge collapsed has been delayed until tomorrow by Worcestershire County Council and the Environment Agency.

    The Grade II listed bridge, near Tenbury Wells, disintegrated two weeks ago and left people in the village facing large detours.

    Excavation work was due to start today but the council say the weather has made conditions difficult.  

  14. Mother warns against choking game craze after son's deathpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

    A Hereford mother, who fears her son died from a choking game craze which is sweeping the internet, is warning other parents about the dangers.

    Louise Hembrow lost her 10-year-old son in March after he collapsed at home.

    He died of vagal inhibition, a rare condition which stops the heart and kills people in less than two minutes.

    Louise believes Alfie was trying out the online game, where youngsters film themselves choking and post the video on social media, after hearing about it in the school playground.

     - Louise Hembrew lost her 10 year-old son after he died of a rare condition, but she believes he was taking part in a craze where youngsters film themselves choking and post the video on social media

     -  A 37 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to prevent unnecessary suffering to an animal, after police were allegedly sent footage showing foxes kept at kennels in Wormelow

     - Barclays in Kington is closing, and many residents and businesses are concerned the town could soon be left without a bank

  19. Liverpool fans visit 'Hillsborough T-shirt' pub in Worcesterpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 13 June 2016

    Liverpool fans made the journey down to Worcester this weekend to visit the pub which threw out a man wearing a T-shirt insulting the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

    The landlord removed and barred the man from The Brewers' Arms in St John's. 

    The pub has now set up a permanent tribute with football memorabilia
