    A confidential helpline, designed to help those who've looked at sexual images of children online, has received calls from 40 people across Herefordshire and Worcestershire over the last 12 months.  , external

    The Stop It Now helpline, external , which is run by the Alvechurch based Lucy Faithfull Foundation, was set-up to help offenders gain access to the help they need to address their problem.

    Across the West Midlands the number of calls to the helpline has gone up by more than a third, when compared to the previous year.

    A new project is hoping to find out more about the Blackpole munitions factory which opened in Worcester a century ago.

    Hundreds of workers produced 200 million rifle rounds there during the World War One and the buildings now form part of the Blackpole East industrial estate.

    The national wheelchair basketball champions are wheeling themselves onto treadmills for up to eight hours today in a bid to raise money. , external

    The team, from the University of Worcester, are doing a 111 mile challenge (the distance between Worcester and Manchester) to raise money to pay for the British Wheelchair Basketball University Championships, which takes place in Manchester next month.

  7. Firefighters tackle 'large sawmill blaze'published at 09:27 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

    Crews have been tackling a "large fire" at a sawmill in Kidderminster overnight.

    Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said two crews attended to the blaze, external near Blakeshall at about 04:35 this morning.

  8. Storm Doris: Many propoerties affected by power cutspublished at 09:05 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

    Many across Herefordshire and Worcestershire are still without power this morning in the wake of Storm Doris. 

    Nearly 300 properties in Herefordshire and more than 650 in Worcestershire are affected - Western Power Distribution expects most of them to be restored by lunchtime.  , external

    
          This car was struck by part of the corrugated roof of a warehouse on New Road in Kidderminster.

    Highways bosses at Worcestershire County Council say around 250 trees came down, while the contractors looking after Herefordshire's roads said they've been called to 80 incidents.

    Disruption across the West Midlands continues after Storm Doris yesterday.

    Some train services are still affected.

    The Cross City Line will be closed all day between Lichfield and Redditch and some services to London are cancelled or delayed.

    Rail passengers are being warned to expect more disruption this evening, as workmen battle to clear all the debris off the lines after Storm Doris.

    Network Rail says its "orange army of engineers" have been clearing everything from trees to trampolines and chairs from the track, and bags from overhead power lines.
