We've just got to put in that performance and that winning effort that we've been making over the last 10 or 12 games and hopefully make our shots. Certainly we're going to have to play some solid defence. Leicester are very good."

  3. Luctonians battle for relegation without even playingpublished at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2017

Luctonians Rugby Club's battle against relegation from National Two North has received an unexpected boost.

They have climbed two places in the league table without even putting on their kit.

Sedgley Park infringed the rules governing replacements during their fixture at Mortimer Park and so Lucs have been awarded the full five points from the game, rather than the four they initially won on the day.

    Quote Message

Sedgley Park took a player off - I believe they said he was replaced as opposed to injured. The technicality is that he should've then come back on, but they said he was injured. He was recorded as a replaced player which was a breach of the rules so we got a five point win."

I'm really surprised. I don't feel like I've done anything worthy of such a title. I feel quite emotional. Morgan thinks it's brilliant and wants to take the magazine to school to show all of his friends."

  9. Council sees-off hundreds of nuisance seagullspublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2017

More than 10,000 seagull nests and eggs have been removed from Hereford since 2008, the council says, as part of its  control programme. , external

Contractors have started clearing the nests under RSPC guidance once again and the team say they've seen a steady decrease in the city's gull population during the past nine years.

They're now issuing businesses in High Town with seagull-proof bin bags to help them keep the birds away.

Traditionally, the birds have lived around water, but their high-pitched call is increasingly being heard in towns and cities.

Experts say the number of urban seagulls is increasing because nesting on the roofs of office blocks and houses means they can avoid predators.

Gold is expecting to go into the game with a largely unchanged squad as the break has enabled a number of players to recover from niggles.

Yesterday we reported that Ben Te'o won't appear in the squad after sustaining concussion during England's Six Nations Championship match last weekend.

The House of Lords was completely locked down, nobody was allowed in or out. My thoughts are with the poor people who have been injured. We were let out about 20:45 and got home about midnight. We weren't told an awful lot. We were just very shocked. You could see things happening in the background but no-one knew what was going on outside
