    Dairy farmers in Worcestershire are being asked to consider signing up to produce "free-range" milk.

    This range of milk guarantees the cows will graze outside in fields for at least six months a year but could cost consumers 50p more.

    Andrew Parks farms 200 cows at Spetchley and says he's considering turning his heard into free range cows: "We like the thought of cows going out there and grazing and it's giving the consumer choice. If people are demanding it then we've got to supply it, otherwise someone else will."

    Two council car parks in Bromsgrove are to close for "essential maintenance".

    Bromsgrove Council is closing, external New Road car park between 07:00 to 12:00 on Wednesday 22 March and Windsor Street car park from 13:00 to 18:00. 

    Road markings are to be repainted, as well as general maintenance.

    At least £400,000 is to be spent, external on improving the safety of one of Worcester's main shopping streets. 

    A 69-year-old woman died after being hit by a refuse lorry on The Shambles in 2014.

    Last night Worcester City Council approved, external the spending of some of the money needed to improve the street, though it's estimated the work could cost £1.25m in total.

  7. Harriers beat Tamworth 4-3published at 11:32 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2017

    Kidderminster Harriers produced a dramatic grandstand finish to run out 4-3 winners in their Vanarama North match at Tamworth last night. 

    New striker Joe Ironside (pictured) marked his debut with two goals as Harriers came from 2-0 down to lead 3-2, only for the home side to equalise. 

    Central defender Keith Lowe scored an injury-time winner for Harriers.

    A Hereford business which started on a kitchen table is now featuring in a book being published by Penguin. 

    Animal Search UK, external helps people to find their lost pets. 

    The book,  The Real Pet Detective, external , will be published next month. 

    Tom Watkins, a former policeman turned pet detective, tells the stories of dozens of pets who have gone missing and the lengths people have gone to find their beloved pets.

    Animal Search UK has even helped celebrities, including model and Strictly Come Dancing star Abbey Clancy, who they reunited with her cat Maggie.

    A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a lorry in Kidderminster this morning.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service says they received a 999 call to Hartlebury Trading Estate at about 05:30.

    The unnamed man was "in cardiac arrest at the scene" but died as a doctor and paramedics tried to save him, the service say.

    A really, really, really old fossil discovered in Herefordshire has been named after the natural history broadcaster, Sir David Attenborough.

    A picture of the 430-million-year-old fossil was presented to him by the University of Leicester lead researcher, Professor David Siviter, who said Sir David had inspired his interest in natural history. 

    Attenborough said it was "a great compliment" and was "very honoured".
