    A derelict pub in Malvern could be taken over by a parish council after locals expressed an interest in buying it.

    The Pheasant Inn in Welland has been empty for seven years and the owner has put it on the market.

    Viv Nelson, chairman of Little Malvern and Welland Parish Council, said the building has a lot of potential and has been registered as an asset of community value.

    A Worcester school could become the first in the country to have a bell tower on site - if it can raise £4m needed to build it.

    Christopher Whitehead Language College is hoping to build a new music classroom, and want to incorporate a bell tower into the plan. 

    Head Teacher Neil Morris says students in Worcestershire are uniquely placed to learn about bell ringing.
