  5. Major facelift for indoor Trinity marketpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 6 April 2016

    Hull's historic Trinity Market will be fully refurbished after receiving approval at today's planning committee.

    The £1.6m refit of the Grade 2 listed building will include a restaurant and performance space.

    Hull City Council say it's right that the historic market gets a facelift as part of the city centre regeneration.

    Work will begin in the summer.

    The Humber Bridge has now reopened in both directions.

    It was shut just before 15:00 BST this afternoon because of an overturned lorry.

    It's the second similar incident within two months.

    Here he is!

    Percy Jeeves played for the Goole Cricket Club and professionally for Warwickshire and Hawes, before his death in World War One in July 1916.

    As I mentioned earlier, a blue plaque has been unveiled in Goole today in his honour.

    He's gone missing but may need medical attention, external so police say it is important he is found.

    The 36-year-old was last seen at home in Market Weighton last night at 23:00 BST.

    A lorry has blown over on to its side while travelling north across the Humber Bridge although it was closed to high-sided vehicles at the time.

    Police say the lorry knocked down a lamppost which then fell on to the southbound carriageway, external.

    There's a lot of debris on both sides of the road.

    Emergency crews are at the site.

    The good news is that no one has been seriously injured.

    Police expect the southbound carriageway to reopen by 17:00 so expect significant delays if you're heading that way. 

    I'd try to avoid it altogether for the time being.

    He's just opened the new Emmaus community cafe and training centre in the city.

    Terry is the president of the Emmaus charity which offers a place to live and work to people who had been homeless.

    The humanitarian will also be the guest speaker at their fundraising event tonight which is sold out.

    An overturned lorry has shut the Humber Bridge off in both directions. 

    Avoid the area if you can as it's causing severe disruption on the A15.

  19. The Davis Cup is coming to Hull as part of a tour of the countrypublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 6 April 2016

    It'll be here on Saturday afternoon when it goes on display at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre.

    Hull is the only place in Yorkshire chosen for the tour thanks to local star Kyle Edmund who was part of Britain's winning team and he will be with the trophy.
