    Hull KR, external players have been banned from talking to media this week. 

    A club source says the move was not to protect the players but for a desire to see action not words.  

    It follows a shock defeat for the Robins against part timers Oldham Roughyeds in the Challenge Cup.

    Traders in Beverley have told me that they plan to hold a "wacky race" in the town on the eve of the Tour de Yorkshire.

    It's all in the name of charity and they won't be going anywhere near as quick as the professionals.

    It's claimed almost a half of young people in Yorkshire have been bullied in the past year. 

    The survey by anti-bullying charity Ditch the Label, external questions more than 8,000 people across the country aged between 12 and 20.

    The findings suggest nearly a quarter of young people who have been bullied go on to bully others.

  5. Will workers at TATA accept pay cut to help sale of plant?published at 11:00 British Summer Time 19 April 2016

    Today is the deadline for thousands of steel workers in Scunthorpe to vote on accepting a pay cut. 

    Staff at the site have been asked to take the one year salary reduction to make sure the sale of the site to Greybull Capital goes through. 

    The rescue deal for the plant was announced a week ago.

    People living on Flatgate in Howden say they're being inundated by HGV's since the bridge collapse on the A614.

    East Riding of Yorkshire Council say they're working on an alternative route for lorries.

    Northern Rail say that the disruption caused by signalling problems at Gilberdyke has now ended. 

    Services between Hull and Doncaster are no longer affected by this problem.

    The Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart wants to know more about flood defences for the Humber area and how they can be improved. 

    He is to meet minister Rory Stewart who is tasked with the government's response to flooding after a debate in Parliament back in December called for a comprehensive Humber Flood strategy.

    East Riding of Yorkshire Council leader Stephen Parnaby has told BBC Look North that this year's Tour De Yorkshire will be "a big special event".

    The race starts in Beverley on Friday, 29 April.
