They've made their best start to a season in 12 years and scored more goals than any other English side.

A man who admitted working as a dentist in Hull without the proper qualifications has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison.

Ronnie Barogiannis (pictured) caused permanent damage to five patients teeth in East Yorkshire.

He was sentenced at Hull Crown court today after admitting to fraud and five counts of actual bodily harm.

A man was left unconscious after an attempted robbery and assault in Grimsby, external in the early hours of Sunday morning. 

Police say two men and a woman in their 20's were walking down Wintringham Road after a night out when they were attacked from behind. 

The men also tried to steal the woman's handbag but ran off when another person approached the group. 

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them on the 101 number.

New Grimsby Town, external signing Danny Collins (pictured) says he's in good shape and ready to be called upon tomorrow.

The Mariners host Crewe with the new defender added to their squad after joining earlier this week. 

He says despite being without a club this summer, he's still in decent nick:

Grimsby motorcyclist Guy Martin is due to try to break the two-wheeled world speed record later. 

He will attempt to travel faster than 376mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats, in the US state of Utah.

A teenager has been found guilty of stabbing a man to death in a Hull street.

Agustin Sula (18) was found guilty of murder today at Hull Crown Court. 

Mateusz Szleper (pictured) was killed on West Parade on Valentine's Day after being stabbed seven times.

The jury was unable to reach a verdict in the case of Agustin Sula's brother Ermal Sula (24) of no fixed abode, who was discharged.

A third man Abdullah Ali Haydar (18) was found not guilty of murder.

Agustin Sula will be sentenced later this month.

Police are looking for missing Niomi Huby,, external (pictured), who is described as a vulnerable young woman. 

She was last seen by her family yesterday at her home on Northlands Road in Winterton, near Scunthorpe at around 18:00.

The 25 year old was later seen at a bus stop headed for Scunthorpe.

Police are appealing for information and asking anyone who sees her to call the 101 number.

Right now almost 650 children are in the care of Hull Fostering who say they need more people, external ready to help in an emergency situation. 

Hull City Council want more people to come forward as foster carers to look after some of the city's most vulnerable and sometimes troubled children.

Lincolnshire has been told it must have a directly elected Mayor if it wants a devolution deal. 

The Leader of Lincolnshire County Council, Martin Hill has told his colleagues that unless there is an elected Mayor then a deal will not go ahead.

The mayor would cover the whole of Lincolnshire including North and North East Lincolnshire.

Last month the public voted against having an elected Mayor.

Has racist graffiti become a bigger problem in Hull recently? 

In recent months, threats and offensive symbols including the swastika have appeared on buildings in Hull's city centre.

I spoke to Sergeant Chris Swaby from Humberside Police about the problem.

He told me there has been a slight increase but says any hate crime will not be tolerated.

Mike Phelan says he has been offered the manager's job at Hull City.

The 53-year-old, caretaker boss since Steve Bruce's departure in July, was named Premier League manager of the month for August.

But, with a takeover of the club pending, Phelan's long-term future at the club has been uncertain.

"It's a case now of sifting through the offer and getting down to what hopefully will be further discussions," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

An East Yorkshire council has asked the firm behind the Pokemon Go game to get three "stops" in the town's memorial gardens removed.

The deputy mayor of Hornsea, East Yorkshire said there had been complaints it was "inappropriate" to have Pokestops next to the war memorial.

Anne Padgett said there were also concerns about players causing noise late at night.

Game publisher Niantic has not yet responded.

The East Riding Council says it will investigate what can be done about lorries damaging parked cars in part of Beverley. 

People living on a stretch of Grovehill Road want the road widened so HGVs can pass without clipping parked cars. 

It's after a number of cars were damaged on the street.

A new riverside park is going to be created in Bridlington (pictured). 

Work on the Gypsey Race Park should start early next year. 

The new park is designed to be a 'green haven' and will contain play areas and signs telling the story of people who have worked alongside the Gypsey Race over the centuries.

Hull Kingston Rovers have been boosted by the return of three players for the vital qualifier at Featherstone Rovers on Sunday.

The bad news is that back up hooker John Boudebza will miss the rest of the season having undergone surgery on a hip injury.

But coach James Webster told me it's the first time this season where he will have the luxury of being able to select from a fully fit 19 man squad.

The body of a man's been pulled from the water at Princes Quay. 

Search teams had been looking for the man who's thought to have gone into the water yesterday evening.

Its not know at this stage who the man is or why he was in the water but Humberside Police say they are continuing their investigations.
