There's queuing traffic and one lane is closed on the A180 eastbound in Grimsby between the A1136 junction and the Pyewipe Roundabout because of emergency repairs.

One lane is closed and there is very slow traffic on the A1033 Hull Road westbound between the B1362 Hull Road junction in Hedon and Southcoates Roundabout in Hull because of flooding.

Plans for a new shopping and leisure area off Hull's Albion Street have been given the go-ahead.
The site takes in the former BHS and Co-op buildings as well as the current council car park.
The proposals for the new Albion Square include keeping the large mosaic mural and constructing new retail and leisure facilities, including a new Ice Arena.

The number of patients being kept waiting for more than an hour in ambulances outside A&E has more than trebled in two years at some hospitals in our area.
That's according to new figures obtained by the Labour party.
Ambulances should be able to hand over patients to A&E staff within 15 minutes of arrival.
Managers at Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals say they adopted a new approach six months ago which has already improved hand-over times.

As the ambulance crew bring the patients in on their trolleys, they are greeted by a dedicated nurse who takes that hand over straight away. We aim to turn patients around in 15 minutes... which we are managing to do in about 75% of cases at the moment."

The latest stage of the new £3.5m Hull and Holderness Flood Alleviation Scheme has been unveiled this afternoon.
The new Glass Wall is 520 metres long and over a meter high and is the longest glass tidal defence structure in the UK.

Work is going to start on making it easier for pedestrians to cross the A63 Castle Street in Hull City Centre.
It's being done in time for the City of Culture celebrations in 2017 and will include widening the crossing and improving signalling to allow more people to use it at peak times.
Improvements will start this week and are expected to take two months to complete.

A woman's been assaulted on her way to work, external in Grimsby this morning.
It happened around 06:00 when the 44-year-old was grabbed from behind by a man as she walked along a cut-through off Cleethorpes Road.
She managed to struggle free and was left with some bruising.

Cleethorpes is on the shortlist for the Great British High Street, external competition!
The resort is one of 27 finalists who now have the chance to battle it out in a public vote to be crowned Britain's best.
Now in its third year, high streets can win up to £10,000 each for the local community.

Plans for the first of five lakes in a £1.2bn housing scheme has gone on public display.
The £2m pond is part of the Lincolnshire Lakes project near Scunthorpe that will see the building of 6,000 new homes and a business park.

The site will also incorporate a new 12,000 seat stadium and training facilities for Scunthorpe United.
Planning approval for the first phase was granted in July and work is expected to start in early 2017.
As well as being used for water sports, the lakes will form part of the flood defences and drainage plan for the development.
Concerns over the project had been raised by the local Conservative MP Andrew Percy as the site is located on a flood plain.
The development is expected to be completed by 2028.

Hull Kingston Rovers have signed Danny Addy and Mitch Clark, external from the Bradford Bulls, on one year deals.
Addy, who's a Scotland International, had confirmed he'd be joining the Robins earlier in the year.
They are the club's second and third new signings respectively ahead of their season in the Championship.

A man's been robbed in Pearson Park, external in Hull.
The 20 year old was walking through the park yesterday at around 10:30 when he was threatened by a man who demanded money from him.
The man police are looking for is between 35 to 40, scruffy, around 6 foot tall, and white with black grey hair.
He was wearing a dark jacket with grey on the shoulders and dark cargo pants.
Police are appealing for information.

Plans for the first part of the Lincolnshire Lakes development, external near Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire will go on show today.
Five lakes could be built along with thousands of new homes and sporting facilities.
The idea is to build six villages in waterside settings.

Three years at the top of the customer satisfaction survey, 100% satisfaction on their weekend services and two years at the top of the WHICH passenger league for reliability, availability and cleanliness.
It's perhaps unsurprising then that Hull Trains have been named as the UK Rail Operator of the Year.
They've been rewarded with the title for their commitment to customers at this year's National Transport Awards.

Two men have been taken to hospital after a fight involving 15 people, external in a beer garden in Cleethorpes.
It happened at around 01:00 BST this morning when police were called to a violent disturbance on Grant Street.
Two men are now being treated at Grimsby's Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.
Witnesses should call the 101 number if you've got any information.
MEP Woolfe quits 'death spiral' UKIPpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 18 October 2016
A UKIP MEP who spent three nights in hospital after a row with a party colleague is quitting the party, saying it is in a "death spiral".
Steven Woolfe, who had been running to be the next leader, told the BBC there was "something rotten" in the party.
He also accused fellow Yorkshire and the Humber MEP Mike Hookem of inflicting a "blow" to his face in the row at a party meeting.
Mr Hookem has acknowledged a "scuffle" but said he "categorically did not" throw a punch at his colleague.

Spalding teenage murderers 'Bonnie and Clyde'published at 12:41 British Summer Time 18 October 2016
The female defendant admitted manslaughter but denied murder, claiming to be suffering an abnormality of mental function which impaired her ability to form rational judgments.
But jurors - who heard that the defendants' toxic Bonnie and Clyde-style relationship "led on to" the killings - took two-and-half hours to reject the girl's defence and convict her of murder.
Her former boyfriend, who also cannot be named because of a court order, pleaded guilty to murder before the trial began.
