    Police are seeking witnesses to an attack on a boy in Greatstone that left him with a fractured face. 

    A group of children were walking along Dunes Road when an object, possibly a stone, was thrown at him from a wooded area. 

    The boy needed hospital treatment for his injuries. 

    The attack happened on 23 January but police have only just released details.

    More and more people in the South East are being prescribed anti-depressants, according to the NHS.

    The biggest rises were in areas associated with social deprivation, such as Thanet and Hastings and Rother.

    Members of the RMT union on Southern Railway will strike for 24 hours on 22 February in the long-running staffing dispute, the union has announced.

    A woman and her children were robbed at their Swanley home after three men forced their way in.

    Kent Police is investigating the incident, which happened around 20:30 GMT on Monday at a property in St Mary's Road.    

    Three men then forced open the rear door, entered the house and demanded jewellery. It is thought one of them was holding a knife   

    They stole some gold jewellery and a mobile telephone and left. Nobody was injured.

    The men are described as white, two were of average height and one was shorter. 

    Two had scarves partially obscuring their faces.

    Kent Police have renewed their appeal for help in finding a teenager who's gone missing from Broadstairs.

    16-year-old Philip Gibson was reported missing on 25 January. 

    He was last seen at 17.10 GMT when he said he was going to an address in Margate, but he never arrived.

    A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Kent on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

    Lauric Lebato, 22, from London, died in hospital after being found with a stab wound in Albion Street, Leicester, at about 04:00 GMT on Saturday.

    Two other men, aged 19 and 20, have been also been arrested in Kent on suspicion of violent disorder.

    They were also held on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon.

    Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information on the whereabouts of Matthew Bryan and a separate reward of up to £2,000 for information on the whereabouts of Lee Heane.

    Both are suspected of being involved in a large number of burglaries spanning the south of England and the West Midlands. Bryan, 25, and Heane, 26, are believed to be linked to over 70 high-value burglary offences across Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk, Hampshire, East Sussex, West Sussex and West Mercia since October 2016.

    The pair are believed to be staying in hotels or B&Bs and are known to have criminal associates in the Kent area, particularly Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs.
