    A scooter has been destroyed by Kent Police after it was being ridden in an anti-social manner. 

    Last week officers were called to Ditton Court Quarry near East Malling where two people were seen driving it.

    Police later found the scooter abandoned and destroyed it.

  5. Leisure centre to close in Folkestonepublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 10 April 2017

    A leisure centre in Folkestone is to close in the summer, leaving a number of community groups and activities needing to find new homes.

    Pent Valley Leisure Centre is part of the technology college which is closing because of falling pupil numbers.

    A coroner's concluded a young mother would probably not have died if doctors at the Darent Valley Hospital had properly diagnosed a pulmonary embolism.

    Sian Hollands was told she was well enough to go home, just hours before she died.

    Elections to our county councils take place in less than four weeks and the Electoral Commission is warning time is running out for anyone not yet registered to vote.

    There are calls for a clampdown on drinking at airports such as Gatwick following a rise in passengers disrupting flights.

    A House of Lords Select Committee has found alcohol is too easily available, and people are drinking even before breakfast.

    Sussex Police also sent under 18s to buy alcohol at the airport and found all but one of the premises were selling to them.

    The committee wants restrictions on the sale and consumption of alcohol at airports - which are currently exempt from the 2003 Licensing Act.
