    The lines have reopened through Chartham station, after a crash at a level crossing.

    Southeastern confirmed trains are now able to run again between Ashford, Canterbury West and Ramsgate.

    A Range Rover has collided with a railway level crossing.

    A Southeastern spokesman confirmed: "A road vehicle has damaged a level crossing near Chartham, blocking both lines between Ashford International and Canterbury West.

    "Response staff on site are attending to the damage."

    A Sittingbourne-based coach company is to take emergency aid to the victims of the tower block fire disaster.

    Chalkwell has collected donations of clothing, blankets and non-perishable food which will be delivered to a receiving centre tomorrow for people in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for victims of the tower block fire disaster.

    Delays are expected between Ashford International and Canterbury West stations until 23:00 BST.Network Rail confirmed replacement transport is being arranged between Ashford and Ramsgate via Canterbury after an earlier incident at the level crossing in Chartham.

    Detectives are questioning a 26-year-old from Dagenham in Essex and a 31-year-old from Thamesmead in London, on suspicion of conspiracy to convey prohibited articles into a prison.

    Flora and Kiara, two black and white kittens, were found near to the border of Gillingham and Chatham on Wednesday 6 June.

    A member of the public was walking home when he spotted the kittens and took them back home before contacting the RSPCA.

    Both kittens were looking undernourished and flea-ridden but are now doing much better in the care of staff at Ashford Garden Cattery.
