A Kent asylum seeker who was deported yesterday is to be returned to the UK while his on-going judicial review claim is considered, according to his solicitors.
Samim Bigzad had been living in Ramsgate after entering the country illegally two years ago in order to join his father who was granted asylum.
A previous removal attempt failed after a Turkish Airlines pilot refused to fly him over concerns for his safety.
Lawyers for the 22-year-old say the latest development follows an out-of-hours injunction.
Quote MessageYesterday, Samim was notified at 8am that he was to be removed at 11:30am. The removal went ahead and he got to Istanbul for a connecting flight to Kabul. Following last night's order, Samim is to be returned to the United Kingdom on the next available flight. We remain deeply concerned about the legality of the Home Office's actions in the course of this enforced removal and we now seek to challenge the legality of these actions."
