    Scattered heavy showers continue to push across to the east, but will gradually ease to leave a largely dry end to the night.

    The strong and gusty winds will ease slightly with temperatures dropping to around 4C (39F).

    However, it's not looking good for Saturday with more wind and rain.

    Coming up on BBC Look North tonight: A plan, uncovered by the Yorkshire Post, external, could mean the merger of the South and West Yorkshire fire services.

    Managers say it's one idea being considered to cut costs in light of budget reductions but talks are at an "early stage". 

    However, unions say the idea is unlikely to be in the best interest of the communities.

    The Met Office has issued an amber warning for rain, external from 18:00 on Saturday until 21:00 on Sunday.

    It's likely flooding could occur, either surface water flooding or flooding from rivers which have remained high after recent heavy rainfall.

    Charities across West Yorkshire rely on BBC Children in Need funding to continue their great work.

    The Environment Agency and other organisations are warning people in West Yorkshire to stay alert this weekend as heavy rain could lead to flooding.

    The Football League has allowed Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino to carry on running the club until his appeal against his ban is heard.

    He was banned last month after being found guilty of an offence relating to the non-payment of VAT. No date has been set for his appeal hearing.
