    Former Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield will make his rugby union debut for Yorkshire Carnegie on Sunday.

    Sinfield will be on the bench for the club's British and Irish Cup tie with the Ospreys Premiership Select at Huddersfield YMCA.

  7. Leeds hepatitis A outbreak: What is it and how is it treated?published at 12:03

    With people living in part of Leeds being offered vaccinations for hepatitis A after about 20 cases were reported, here's some more information about the condition.

    It's a type of viral liver infection quite rare in England but widespread in other parts of the world.

    Symptoms include mild fever, joint and muscle pain, feeling and being sick and diarrhoea.

    Loads of people across West Yorkshire are out and about today raising funds for the annual BBC Children In Need appeal.

    These firefighters on White Watch in Huddersfield tell me they've been out on the streets of the town every Children in Need Day for the past 15 years.

  9. Tour de Yorkshire cycle race 'brought in £50m to local economy'published at 11:19

    This year's Tour de Yorkshire cycle race brought almost £50m to the Yorkshire economy, event organisers claim.

    Welcome to Yorkshire, external says the event, held in May, was seen by about 1.2m people and 20% of spectators for the race came from outside the area.

    Spending by all spectators at the event amounted to £49,711,436 and the average stay for visitors from outside the county was two and half nights, according to the survey of the race.  

  10. Hepatitis A vaccinations offered in parts of Leeds after outbreakpublished at 10:40

    Vaccinations for Hepatitis A are being offered to people living in the LS9 area of Leeds.

    It follows about 20 cases in the area, including some at Brownhill Academy and Richmond Hill Primary School.

    Mike Gent, consultant in communicable disease at Public Health England, has told BBC Radio Leeds: "We've targeted the people living in the area where the cases have been to offer them vaccination as a preventative measure to help make sure the infection doesn't spread further into the community."
