    Minimum temperature overnight of about 3C (37F) with a touch of ground frost possible. Light west wind. 

    Tomorrow will be a fine and dry with plenty of sunshine at first, although skies will cloud over somewhat through the day. Pleasantly warm with a maximum temperature of about 16C (61F). Light or moderate southwest wind.

    It's a year today since the tragic death of Keighley Cougars's Danny Jones

    The Wales international, 29, collapsed after being replaced during the League 1 game at London Skolars last May.

    The married father of five-month-old twins was treated at the ground before being taken to the Royal Free Hospital.

    Cougars coach, Paul March told our sports reporter James Deighton, external that Danny's twins will know their father was a legend.

    Thousands of primary school children from across Leeds will put on their running shoes this afternoon to take part in the Ann Maguire Memorial Fun Run.

    As many as 2,000 children from 32 local schools are expected to be involved in the second annual Ann Maguire Memorial Fun Run at St Theresa's Catholic Primary School in Crossgates, Leeds. 

    The 2km event, which will raise money for a number of different charities, has been organised by the GO Run For Fun campaign and is supported by the Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Armley and the Leeds Association of Roman Catholic Teachers.

    A Bradford MP accused of making anti-Semitic comments has stepped down from a parliamentary committee while an inquiry is held into her conduct.

    Naz Shah has been suspended by the Labour Party, and has apologised for her remarks made on social media before she was elected. 

    She has now stood down from the Commons Home Affairs Committee.

    The first defibrillator has been delivered to a junior team in Sheffield after a £50,000 fundraising drive by rugby league star Danny Jones' widow.

    Danny died after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for the Keighley Cougars last May.

    His wife Lizzie Jones launched a campaign to get defibrillators into as many grassroots clubs as possible.

  13. Terrier Nahki Wells 'suffering injury for months' - Wagnerpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 3 May 2016

    Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner has revealed that striker Nahki Wells has been suffering from a knee injury for up to six months.

    Wagner subbed Wells at half time during their 4-0 loss at Bristol City due to the injury and says the Bermudan international will need a long rest this summer to recover from the problem.

    "He needs a break, some days or maybe weeks of rest. We'll see how he looks for next Saturday," says Wagner.

    Motorists could be charged for using cities like Leeds in a bid to cut down on air pollution.

    The government has previously pledged to introduce clean air zones in Leeds, Birmingham, Derby and Southampton by 2020 which will see polluting lorries and buses charged about£12.50 to enter the city centre.

    However, MPs on the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee argue in their latest report, external that the measure does not go far enough.
