  1. Goodbye: Five things we learned todaypublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 13 July 2016

Thanks for being with us today, I'll be back tomorrow with more news, travel, sport and weather from 08:00 tomorrow.

In the meantime, let's have a look back at what we learned today...

    1. Burst water mains make for good pictures but lousy morning commutes.
    2. If you're a ginge, like me, it's perhaps better you stay out of the sun.
    3. If you're a very busy and important person, you've got no need to traipse around the Great Yorkshire Show.
    4. Sir Patrick Stewart really doesn't age. I mean seriously, he hasn't changed since the 90s.
    5. And if you're a BBC reporter doing loop the loops, try and at least retain a little bit of dignity.

    See you tomorrow!

    Tracy

Every day we sort through tonnes of recycling. Part of the process involves sorting the waste by hand and we see all sorts, but watching out for stray sharps is almost literally looking for a needle in a haystack.

Well worth finding another way around it if you can.
