Batley's famous Frontier Club is to close its doors for the final time this weekend. 

During its heyday the former Batley Variety Club, as it was known, hosted big names, including Tom Jones, Morecambe and Wise and Dusty Springfield.

Still the risk of some heavy showers this evening which will die out to leave a dry and cool night. Minimum temperature of 10C (50F) 

A mostly dry and bright Saturday with some sunny spells. There is a risk of isolated showers which could be heavy, but very hit and miss. Feeling a little cooler with a maximum temperature of 20C (68F). 

An absolute ton of memorbilia from the last 70 years is being bought together in Leeds for an exhibition celebrating growing up.

The "Decades of Youth" exhibition begins at Abbey House Museum tomorrow and includes old Leeds Festival posters, a pair of rollerskates from the 1970s, Sinclair video game consoles from the 1980s and a Spice Girls doll from the 1990s.

One of the people who contributed to the exhibition was Maureen Kershaw, who has lived in Leeds all her life. Maureen's now 67, but as a teenager she met lots of the top acts of the day, including Sir Cliff Richard.

As we've been telling you today the famous Batley Variety Club - now Frontier Club - is to close its doors for the last time tomorrow. 

The building's being turned into a gym, but it's been host to so many top celebrities, including Shirley Bassey...

A 22-year-old man has admitted causing the death of two young boys and severely injuring two others in Morley last year.  

Tom McMeekin will be sentenced on the 19 August following the death of 13-year-old Rhys Baker and 14-year-old George Wharton. 

They died when the blue Peugeot McMeekin was driving hit a tree in Morley during March 2015.  

McMeekin was paralysed himself in the crash. The judge at Leeds Crown Court said that his crime would carry a custodial sentence. 

Leeds Bradford Airport has recently refurbished its air traffic control room with the latest kit.

Luckily for us they filmed it all so we can see what it looks like!

Boy those guys work quickly...

Not something you see everyday. Here are some Stormtroopers busting some moves in the middle of Leeds before the showing of the latest Star Wars film in Millenium Square.

Maybe if they spent more time at target practice they could get better at shooting rebels...

Good news if you've been stuck in traffic on the M62 near J29

It's been announced that the controversial managed zone for sex workers in the Holbeck part of Leeds will continue to operate. 

Despite calls for it to be scrapped, and the high-profile murder of a sex worker there in December, the group which oversees the scheme says the tolerance zone will continue although changes to the way it's run will be made. 

The organisation behind it, Safer Leeds, says it's decided to support a revised approach to the operation of the zone which means it will soon start to look at adjusting the hours it operates, moving its boundaries to protect Holbeck businesses and offering more help for women who want to stop working in the sex trade. 

But the organisation says the continuation of the zone is not the same as legalisation and its existence will remain under "constant review".

Historic fairground attraction the Moon Rocket, described as the original 'white knuckle ride', is in danger of being lost. It's currently in a shed in Leeds.

The owners want to sell it, but the National Heritage Memorial Fund needs to raise thousands of pounds to stop the ride going abroad or being broken up.

We can all be accused of being a little absent minded at times, but to help us out Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group, external have made a series of posters aimed at getting us to cancel our appointments  with the doctor if we don't need them.

They say that after some research they did, it turns out 4 in 10 of us have simply forgotten to cancel a GP appointment we didn't need.

Between 170 and 180 people are using the new Kirkstall Forge train station near Horsforth every day, according to the West Leeds Dispatch, external.

They say that the developers told a meeting of the Bramley and Stanningley Community Forum last night that they were "lobbying hard" to get trains to run every 15 minutes, they currently run at one train an hour.

At the meeting they also announced what they would like the streets around the station will be called: Great Exhibition Way and Butler Road, although the final decision is yet to be made.

We've got one lane closed and very slow traffic on the M62 eastbound between J29 (M1 Lofthouse) and J30 (A642 Rothwell). 

And that makes it an accident every day this week on the M62.
