The biggest training exercise ever undertaken in Calderdale will take place next Friday, to test the emergency service's response to more possible flooding, external.
This follows the major flooding which hit Calderdale and other parts of West Yorkshire on Boxing Day last year.
The exercise is expected to see a wide range of emergency services working together, and full details will be kept secret to " test preparedness", according to Calderdale Council.
As part of the exercise, the flood sirens will be tested and community "hubs" will be opened in Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Sowerby Bridge, Elland and Brighouse.
Quote MessageI was extremely proud of the way our communities, partners and council services worked together on the recovery after the Boxing Day floods. We learned a lot and now want to put this to the test to make sure that our responses are as effective as possible."
Tim Swift, Leader, Calderdale Council
A manufacturer which is warning it could make about 600 people redundant at its Leeds site is blaming the move on a "severe downturn" in the oil industry.
More than 900 people work at OneSubSea, off Pontefract Road, which supplies equipment to the oil and gas industries.
Quote MessageThe oil and gas industry is going through the most severe downturn of the past 30 years, with operators significantly reducing their investment. This scenario has dramatically impacted OneSubsea order intake.
Quote MessageWe are considering a proposal to cease manufacturing, assembly and test activities in Leeds during 2017. We understand the impact of this announcement on our employees and the local community. This is only a proposal at this stage and we will be conducting consultation with the unions and employee representatives.
OneSubSea statement
More on the news that about 600 jobs could be under threat at a Leeds manufacturing company.
OneSubSea employs a total of 929 people in the city and are based in Houston in the US.
Staff were informed this morning and the company will now hold a 45-day consultation period on the plans, the BBC has learned.
OneSubSea supplies the oil industry with exploration and drilling equipment. It says the recent decline in the oil industry has seen a drop in orders.
The company says it's thinking about stopping production at its Leeds factory for the entirety of next year.
About 600 jobs could go at an oil industry equipment manufacturer in Leeds.
The announcement was made to staff at OneSubSea earlier this morning.
More to follow.
If you're reading this on your phone via 4G, congratulations, here in Yorkshire we have the best mobile data coverage outside of London!
A report from mobile coverage company OpenSignal and consumer watchdog Which? reveals that there are stark differences in access to date services across the UK.
People in Yorkshire and the Humber can access 4G 61.3% of the time, in London that figure is more like 70%.
Spare a thought for our friends in Wales, though. They can only connect 35% of the time.
But here's one in the eye for those Londoners: our connection speed in Yorkshire is much faster. See, we've come out on top again.
A Leeds landlord is among those to criticise an advert claiming pubs would be "delightfully empty" if they did not sign up to BT Sport.
A spoof letter was sent out by the broadcaster to pubs claiming they were venues where people could drink "in utter peace and quiet".
Several pubs that received the advert described the move as insulting.
BT Sport apologised for any offence caused and said it was intended as a "tongue-in-cheek marketing campaign".
A group of French artists who were behind an illuminated sculpture show in Bradford four years ago are returning there tonight to unveil their latest creation.
The last time TILT were in the city, they created the Garden of Light in Centenary Square.
This week they've put together 59 gigantic light sculptures which will inhabit the Mirror Pool and will go by the name of The Forest of Light.
The devices are due to be unveiled later before being officially switched on at dusk tomorrow evening for the first time.

Drivers are being warned to expect delays on Francis Street in Leeds at the Chapeltown Road junction due to traffic light failure. Approach with care...
Mental health support workers in Bradford are going on strike today as part of a row over new shift patterns.
Members of the union Unison are in dispute with the firm Creative Support over the new hours and a claim that it will make any kind of work-life balance impossible.
They're also warning that this won't be the only industrial action the firm will face unless it agrees to start talking through the new practises.
Although a picket will take place outside Creative Support's offices on Cemetery Road, Unison says there will be no lines outside any residential homes where service users live.
Tributes are due to be paid later to Huddersfield man David Ellam, who died after being attacked by a dog in August.
His funeral's being held at the town's crematorium, with mourners being asked to wear blue-and-white for the Huddersfield Town fan who was 52-years-old.
A charity fund established in his memory is raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and also the Huddersfield Town Foundation.
